Enjoyed this a few weekends ago, though it was incredibly pricey for a six pack (about $16 USD). Really tasty though. I was very impressed. It had a pale ale taste but without any of the usual trappings (bitter, less drinkable quality, etc). Very tasty indeed. What is name of the beer on the cover of FUN DMC? I found a second type from Coopers at the same store, but wanted to make sure I had the right kind before dropping another $16 on a sixer. Thanks, g

The beer on the FUN DMC cover is the Coopers Pale Ale - not had it myself yet but its only a matter of time...

I live in Adelaide where they make this stuff, its pretty common. I guess buying it over the US is like us buying Dr Pepper.

SLC HEAD said:
Alright, I finally have awaken from the dead... My throat is super messed up from shouting but man what an awesome show!

Burnell Washburn started things off with some low-key beats and Sweatshop Union did a great job pumpin' the crowd up for the P.

The P set started off with Some Highlights: Self Destruction, straight into The Second Track followed by a grip of old tracks. They seemed to be doing a lot of dope remix's with classic P hits, the beats they were rappin' over were dope as f***! Towards the end of the set they threw in some Too Much Birthday and had the crowd sing Happy Birthday to some chick in the crowd. The Encore, dope as always, was ended with San Francisco Knights... which Thes said would be the last time they perform the gem for the SLC crowd, glad I was there for it.

So here are a few topics we brushed up on during our conversation: Wonderful Radio is right around the corner, Thes also said that they have already started working on album #9, this sh!t made me so happy to hear. Some fresh new hat designs will be hitting the PL70 Store soon. Thes says some new, dope color combos are about to be unveiled so y'all keep your eye's peeled for that one. I also asked Thes about WRLA 98.7 because it was on a T shirt I was going to get(but they were out of my size). This is the baddest sh!t ever, check this out: The P have a mobile FM broadcasting station that can project a signal in 5 mile radius. Basically the idea is, and keep in mind they haven't done this yet due to time constraints, but the next time they come to your town, tune in to 87.9 and listen to the custom P station made just for YOU! f***ing bad ass if you ask me. Brings a new meaning to Pirate Radio. Thes also expressed his appreciation for Nick (SF Knight) steppin' up and helping PL70 out in it's time of need. And after seeing these dudes like 6 times, we finally got a pic with them too.

Lastly, Thes and Double wanted me to express their gratitude to the P Forum and asked me to tell everyone what up and Thes promises he'll be back as soon as he is done being the busiest cat in the industry. And Sactown, I told the homies "What UP!?" from Sactown and they pumped their fist and said that's the homie and say YO!

As far as Merch goes, I scooped an Eddie Chibbum 3/4 sleeve and the El Rey DVD, would have bought more but the 2 Colorado shows cleaned out all of the sh!t in my size...

All in all, the night was amazing as expected... Lookin forward to the next time the baddest DUO alive rolls through, I gotta go program my fm tuner to 87.9 now! Has anyone seen my voice, I must have misplaced it... <img src="http://www.putsonline.co.uk/forum/my-plugins/bb-smilies/pfunk/icon_cool.gif" title="8-)" class="bb_smilies" />

Dope review, man. I'm hella amped to see the new stuff in the store. The fact said that he wasn't playing SF Knights in SLC anymore makes me a little worried though... they pullin' it from all the set-lists? I mean, I'm all for retiring classics to make room for the newer good sh*t, but... it'd still be some sad news, you know?

So, I've been working on an album for some time, and finished it recently (around Xmas). The album consists of songs that I've written in the last 3-4 months. I gave the album as a gift to my friends and family (being highly broke as sh!t). So, after finishing the mixing etc, I was set to be done, but waiting for a Lightscribe drive to arrive to print custom labels on the discs gave me more time to tinker, and I took the design aspect considerably further than if I had just finished and been done around Xmas. Anyway, here's the link to my Soundcloud account, where you can stream the album:

http://soundcloud.com/funksquad/sets/the-undercurrent

On the record, I play: MPC, drum kit, bass, guitar, tables, etc. All drums sounds were sampled from records or recorded, chopped, and played back in with an MPC. Most songs were built beat first, then probably a sample dropped over them to suggest a melodic direction, and then guitar/bass writing over the samples, etc. O Interludio is the only track that is strictly samples. I just loved the vibe on the record I pulled those from, thought it would cool as an interlude (running bet to see who can figure out the record its from hehe). Oh well, I am currently working on the remix album of these songs. Basically I'm just stripping everything off the beats and starting over for a fun quick project, then its on to the next. Oh well, hope you guys enjoy. - Greg AKA dj GUERRILLA AKA Funk Squad

Please let me know what you think, I really want honest feedback as family and friends are just too nice to criticize effectively. Thanks again, g

Gotta give it up to you folks on the West Coast, this is a top #5 American Beer for me. Any of you folks in Cali know about the great Anderson Valley? So much flavor, hint of chocolate, dark coffee and a lot more. Solid the whole way through.

Gotta say that Oatmeal Stout's are my favorite type of beer, and in that category this one takes the cake. This type of beer to me is so much better then IPA's (which in my opinion are overproduced.)

Thanks, g

Just got Or Stay Tuned on wax!!! Been wearing out Outrun lol. I've had to buy these from all over the world on discogs, this one was from a dude in Germany. The only LP I'm still needing is FUN DMC, which is very rare. The only copies I know of at the moment for sale online are going for $55 and $130 respectively, i.e. too much (plus they're not even mint or NM). Another rarity I'll make a move on after I find FUN DMC is the 500 copies made Trippin at the Disco 12". Thats another people want a lot for. Last one I saw went for well over $100. Would have bought a copy of American Men Vol 1 on eBay, but was afraid I'd get burned with a fake CDr copy........you remaining PUTS rarities, I'm coming for ya!
