PUTS ALBUM #6 - Official Announcement!Started 9 years ago by Thes One / toggle topic info
Posted 9 years ago #September is getting closer, and im getting more and more keen to cop this album in all forms...
Has anyone got any updates on release dates. Has it been pushed further back than september..usually underground hip hop has a pre-order thing up there well before it comes out...
Yo Optimus and others who I know are interested. Undergroundhiphop.com has the FUN DMC release date pegged for September 30th.
I wanted it to be earlier but sh!t I'm just pumped now I know the actual date, 1 month away but for the P of course I can wait, its just not gonna be easy!
its now available for pre order on the zavvi.co.uk website if your in the UK
for a rather nice price as well
Are there any 12"s expected to be dropped before the album hits the stores?
And secondly , will the vinyl edition of the album be available at the same exact date as the cd version?I`m getting a little worried as there are plenty of cd preorders and none of the stores offers a vinyl preorder yet...
Y'all ought to contact Metacritic so they will list your album on the "upcoming releases" list here:
yo Thes, out of interest, what is the best way to buy the album in terms of you guys receiving the most dollar?
is there a difference in the amount you receive from record sales between retailers (independent vs chain, or say HMV vs Virgin?) and online? Itunes, Boomkat etc...?
just wanna make sure that the P benefits the most money wise from me buying the album
That's a great question. I've often wondered that but never really thought to ask. Er, maybe I don't know enough high rollers who even have record deals.... That's a whole other story...
So yeah, Thes, without giving away dollar figures, what IS the best way for you and Big Double to make the most off of a record purchase?
If I could guess, I'd figure it's most profitable for musicians to sell records at a show, then at a brick-and-mortar, then a big chain, then online. The difference is probably nickels, but it's my guess all the same.
Yes that is a very good question. where should we buy the cd to best support the P?
Word, I appreciate you guys looking out for the $ - god knows every penny is heard earned for us.
As far as the best place to buy it we all receive the same amount regardless of the final retail price. The thing that really matters for us is that you buy it at a place that Soundscan's the unit, because it's these figures that are used by everyone in the industry to determine when, how, who what and why when it comes to a group.
Amazon, Itunes, Best Buy etc. all scan as well as a few of the independent smaller retailers, like Amoeba - who i would have recommended but due to the current situation it's tough to say.
The important thing, and really the bottom line is that it gets bought and not dl'ed.
Thanks again to all of you - we wouldn't be here if it wasn't for yall...
Hey Thes, I know it is a bit off topic, but since you've been visiting the forum more lately, is there any release date set for Mike's solo album?
I love the tracks that I heard posted on his page and I know some of it was leaked this past summer, but aside from that information has been hard to come by.
HMV.co.uk, £8.99 freeshipping ayyyyy
I'm buying two of the albums.
One for the car and one for the office.
Shoot, it's funny nowadays... got "Stepfather" et al on iPhone, iPod, the laptop, the hard copy for the house, and a burned copy for the car.
Looking forward to hearing more of the new record... Can't wait to get the sale date so I can head down to Sonic Boom.
The days still counting down..damn I can't wait.
Gotta compliment your people..Gold Dust is a good look, they releasing that Planet Asia & DJ Muggs cd the same month as u guys so these guys are releasing some good music, along with my boy 40 cal, (Dipset!)
