PUTS ALBUM #6 - Official Announcement!Started 10 years ago by Thes One / toggle topic info
not to be redundant, but any word on the vinyl release date?
I'm still definitely going to buy the CD, but I need vinyl badly!
I dont know if its official, but I seen a Sept 29th release date for vinyl on Amazon. Like $21
after a couple of years out and logins/passwords forgotten, something reminded me about this forum so i had to re register.
and to my surprise PUTS got a new album i knew nothing about.
im please to see that the things im fond of about the P the most are still there. these guys are still carrying the torch for hip hop in the most respectful way. molding it and shaping it into new things straight from everything that was fun from the old.
as a producer and mc myself, its easy to shut down and cut yourself out from what other cats are up too. i find myself detracted and caught up in other peoples music which sometimes stops me from finding my own way in this biz
the timing for this album could not be better as ive just come out of my "recording sessions" and ready to embrace what ever the PUTS has in store for me when i listen to FUN DMC for the first time tonight.
long live the PUTS and look forward to the fundmc tour in the UK next year.
no doubt your coming right?
Hell yeah, I got to Best Buy a few minutes before it opened and was able to buy the only copy they had in. I listened to it and it's SOOOOOO ill. How do y'all manage to make 6 LPs all consistent in quality. That's just amazing.
I think I got about 10 people to buy this album and I have witnessed their purchase. More to come-
Just got the new album last week from Amazon, This new album is yet another masterpiece. Once again PUTS has shown me why they are one of the few groups I will actually spend money on. I first discovered these guys back in 1999, and my perception of rap music has never been the same. I just recently realized that these guys have been the yardstick I have been using to measure against all other groups. There was a time recently when I had even abandoned listening to rap, but I still listened to their old stuff. If I could give these guys any advice, it is to keep doing what they are doing and stay true to their style, I know I'll keep buying their albums.
