Well here are my likes in specific order
1.97-present "Underground" West Coast Hip-hop I use the word underground loosely because it means two totally different things than it did when it began, it went from unsigned/no label bullish to self-indulgance/I'm too real to be mainstream, nevertheless groups like the P, Lootpack,Foot Souljahz, Buc Fifty, Juxtapose, GoldenState, Dilated, Krondon, Planet Asia, Likwit Crew, Ugly Duckling, Visionaries, J5 more as well.
2.RSE(Rhymesayers Entertainment), I'm gonna have to say nearly everything that's released is dope in their own niches of hip-hop, which RSE covers nearly it all, many props to this midwest label.
3. 90's East Coast in general, which I am not an expert on since I mainly listen to 1 and 2 but these are ones I have discovered to be dope, I'm still picking up new ish. Gangstarr, Mos Def(Universal Mag was and still is so so fresh)Blackstar(Respiration gives me chills)Kweli, High & Mighty, Wordsworth, Big L, Most Wu-Tang,earlier Jay-Z, Nas, Biggie, and others
I hate this
Lil John-I want everyone to seek pics of this cat without sunglasses, preferebly his graduation photo, he's more like a pauper of crunk.
Yin-Yang twins, ironically they hosted sucker-free sunday, how?
I am getting annoyed with Eminem's production, cleaning out his closet and his latest single sound so damn similiar, it's like he sampled one for the other, getting off the hihats and leave em alone for once, but that's the only thing I don't like about Em really.
Chingy is wack, Nelly used to be listenable, I heard his old tapes from way-back he had a damn good vocab, now he's labelized, exec's want a banger not something you can sit back and disect. I digress. I don't like hating really, Nelly really can bring it, Chingy tho, I don't know. I am too tired to list more.
