I still haven't heard the new EP.
Had shipping confirmation through today for the Tape & CD.
However, I'll still be holding out for the vinyl for my first listen...
Ah got my shipping confirmation on Friday evening
I don't know if I can hold out until the vinyl to listen though!
cassettes are out... dope!
Yall are going to kill me for this, and I've always liked what the P has put out, however...the 2nd half to me was a lot more wack than the first half, which was dope. Anyone else agree?
Yep mine landed in blighty a few days ago......my wife was confused why I'd order a tape. I admire your strength Mister Tibbs, vinyl is not looking like its on is way anytime soon.
As for the elephant in the room......I'd say the 2nd half is/was a grower, personally I have always preferred Thes's verses over Double K in general & when I first hear Pt1 & Pt2 Double K's rhymes didn't resonate with me. After some continuos rotation however they have grown on me. I do think the production is tight all the way through & "wack" is not a word I'd use.....but I respect your honesty.
Not long until the needle drops and I get my first listen!
Power to you for holding out this long; I would have caved in long ago. You're in for a treat.
Even OM couldn't get Carried Away vinyl pressed right (remember the skip in All Good Things?)
Gah just got a used copy of Carried Away as a backup and was like "WTF is there so much skipping on the D side." Friendly reminder for those digging for it; I don't think my other copies had the same fate.
^^ Did you accidentally post on the wrong thread or something? Slightly confused as to whom you've quoted or how the pressing fault on Carried Away came up..?
Anyway, it sounds like you may have picked up a slightly knackered spare - as far as I can remember I didn't have any major issues with my copy skipping.
I'm aware of 1-2 tricky passages on 'All Good Things', but I think even those played through once I turned up the anti-skating. (Might just be luck of the draw or other factors such as different styli, tracking weight, etc. in play though...)
Any idea when we can expect The Getting Off Stage Part 3?

It's been radio silent on that front; today TGOS2 turns one, though. I'm itching for it; I think we only waited ~5 mos between 1 & 2.
There really hasn't been much news from the group about music since the fall - they cancelled a few shows and then finished touring in Chicago, IIRC. They also cancelled the cruise with 311 a month or so ago. Both due to health issues.
I believe Thes was saying end of last year for TGOS3 on the Southern Vangard podcast.
Thes has been mentioning the collab with Day for a while. He also mentioned Carried Away instrumentals. Mike had his SP1200 album in the pipeline, I thought... I'm still waiting on Menace II.
I've been getting into 12SP in the meantime. Really liked a few select songs originally, liking more now.

My original copy was fine - when I heard this one I searched the forum because I vaguely remembered some issue with some of the units Om pressed - I was quoting Pat, I think, who was vocal about that and I think the FUN DMC press.
Damn, hope Thes and Double K are better now. I'll never forget talking to KK asking him that the P Army's love will always be riding strong behind PUTS, hoping that they always keep it live. KK said they'll keep it going, and then that's when I was surprised when Thes confessed shortly after Sactown's departure that he did admit to him that PUTS have been feeling like it's been time to wrap up. Man, it's been a lot on them. Hopefully this hiatus doesn't last too long, but then again, whenever they're ready, we'll all be here waiting for that TGOS3 and more.
