Love that song mambo, Coca Cola even liked it enough to use it for a sprite/sunkist commercial on TV.
The first time my wife & I heard it, we looked at each other & was like,"No WAY, hell yeah!" Hopefully it's reflective of how much influence Indie Hip Hop is starting to have on mainstream ideas in general...

I am usually all over Tres' releases, but Super Ramen Rocketship was the start of a questioning relationship for me. Not to say I think that the whole thing is garbage, there are some bomb songs on their. All I'm sayin' is I DEF can't put the album on & just let it play out. Still check it out for yourself, I tend to dislike what some would call "bangers"...
OK Mambo i can see where yoru coming from and for me it was a slow burner of a CD really. A friend told me about it so i picked it up played it through a couple of times and then it got put away. Then i was getting bored of listening to same old CD's in my cars so i cleared out the CD player and put some new ones in. The Paten Locke CD was one of them...from then on i have listened to it a few times driving home from work in my car and it really grabbed me. I do find though the more i listen to things in my car then the more i get into them...must be something to do with the confined space and feeling of being surrounded by the music. A bit like when i used to walk everywhere with my walkman on......ahhh happy days (and i was a lot fitter!!!)
Picked up the new Rakka CD from Dilated Peoples.....going to give that a go in the car on the hoem tonight....i hope there isn't to much about there 3rd eye!!!
Oh and on a side note also go High Jazz arranged by Madlib at the weekend,,,,,not bad if your feeling the jazz.
Peace

I hear yah MrQc, I only truly judge an album after I have listened to it through my Headphones. Like you said, being surrounded by the music allows you to be fully immersed in it. It's funny how much more you hear on a P album even. I thought that I knew all their songs inside & out, but everytime I listen to them on my Headphones I hear something new!
Brand Spanking New Myka 9 Vid and Song!!! BooYeah
Nice one Zelda, very dope indeed!
Glad to see Myka touch on such a heated topic.
