But I don't think you should read any more into what Thes said other than he needs a break for real and to be with his family. He said he daughter is going to be ok which is good news.
Great to hear!

still kind of in disbelief but can totally respect Thes' decision, as a relatively new Dad, i can fully understand the desire to be with your family.
SO thankful The Missus™ & i went to the Boston show. we had planned to stay at our buddy's place but sewage backed up into his place the day before the show... we could have easily said "f*** it" but instead splurged on a $300+/night hotel room for the weekend, which turned out to be one of the best decisions we ever made. i would be shitting bricks right now if i had never got the chance to see those guys live.
which brings me back to the disbelief thing... how can a group who so utterly DESTROYS the room live retire?
easily the best Rap show we ever saw.
one of life's mysteries i guess

Love hearing this and what I am hoping for. Glad to hear his daughter is well too! Looking forward to what L.A. Mike has in store for us and the next musical chapters he writes.
I'm really happy for Thes on his retirement but I'm shocked that the PUTS store is down already too. He's not messing around. I figured he'd at least wait until Sincerely, The P drops.
Yeah it's been down for a while but I wouldn't worry too much - I think he's just waiting for the new album to open it again
It'll be back up on the launch day!!
Hope Thes enjoys his retirement and gets to do all the things he wants to do. The song he sung at the Jazz Cafe is so true (Is that what made grown men cry??).
Mad respect to both of them for putting all that work into keeping hip hop alive, I hope thes is alright and gets to enjoy being with his loved ones! Thanks for the memories!

Oh damn I forgot the new rhyme he did at the end about helping his mum with the laundry and rapping in his bedroom!
Damn, I was looking forward to hella solo projects after this final P album!
That's okay though, the music lives on. Thanks for the beautiful art, Thes. Forever the P!
So no wonderful radio then?

Yeah, I always hoped he was going to release that.
Never give up hope...
And 20 Years of Thes One?
Just joined to thank the forum for posting all the news over the years, been buying their music since the start.
I'm no big internet user but have checked in over the years, i guess i thought the news was coming
when i saw Thes selling all his rare studio equipment on Ebay a few months back.
I hope the forum will stay open for the fans, i had read there was more LA Mike material to be released - PUTS should
have rhymed over his At Hamilton High, where's Flora?, Tyrone's groove, Over there in the 20's tracks amongst others on Clinophobia.
here's to the 2028 reunion..
