Sup everybody. Real quick:
First post here, just made my account. Been a lurker to get information for a looonnng long time. Been in love with PUTS since O.S.T., but I ain't much of a poster, more of a reader info hunter/gather. I've enjoyed you guys keeping this alive for as long as it's been alive, but today I had my first reason to post cause I might have missed something, but I might not have missed something?
I've purchased a few PUTS vinyl's over the years to have a collection for myself, but embarrassing enough, I have not had a vinyl player until this past Christmas. So, one of the first things I do? Go list so some of the things I've had in the vault to enjoy for that "one day", including the Big Sky Breakdown, the Step 1 and Step 2 instrumentals, and specifically to this post, the Triple Digits EP. So, I'm listening to it (I've heard it before as a digital download), and on side A, everything is normal, as expected, Triple Digits and I can (Jason Bennett). Switch to side B, and I don't know the the f I'm listening to! It's an instrumental of Acid Raindrops, and this dude calling himself Big Mike or Bigger Val or Max Beasly (or something) talking about his mixtape for 10 minutes, doing shout outs, calling out people, just...not what I was expecting based on hearing the original Triple Digits EP years ago. It's honestly one of the strangest things I've heard, and I was wondering, has anybody run into this before? Did I get a messed up pressing, is this common knowledge and I just didn't know it? I can't begin to explain how strange this is, it's the Acid Raindrops sample for 10 minutes and just some dude talking garbage for the entire length of the side.
Thanks for any insight! I've enjoyed reading all the post over all the years, thanks for keeping this thing alive!
