So, my thread dies and we're not talking about soccer/football anymore? Maybe you thought my interest was fleeting. Nope. I'm here to stay for a while. The EPL has become my new passion. I find myself watching random games/highlights. Catching whatever is on ESPN2 here in the States on Saturday morning if Arsenal aren't playing that time. Researching players and possible transfers trying to figure out who fits best where. Still rather rudimentary but in a season or two I'll be more knowledgeable. Once FIFA 11 is released September 28 that will only add to my knowledge base.
How is the season going for your team(s)?
For my Arsenal...does Wenger sign any players that can withstand a tackle or not succumb to any type of injury? I love the current roster but these ball kickers are fragile as sh!t! Fabregas scores a freak goal off his foot/shin against Sunderland and now his hamstring is injured? Bendtner can't get his crotch healed? van Persie is well, van Pussying it up with his lame injuries. Chamakh is looking to be a Godsend.
The Sunderland game pissed me off to no end! That twat of a referee, Phil Dowd, was so one sided in his calling of the game I wanted to lunge through my computer screen and slap him with my nuts. Ticky tacky fouls called on Arsenal players then keeping the whistle in his pocket until Sunderland mustered up their scoring chance. Rosicky taking the penalty? WTF!!! Song acting childish. Couldn't control the midfield, which is supposed to be a strong point for us. Arsenal had this game won and they played with their clits tucked between their legs.
I sound enraged don't I? Amazing how one game can turn the tides in me. Wonder how many Chicago Bears fans are shouting "Super Bowl" after beating the Cowboys as I was standing on my soapbox proclaiming Arsenal Champions League finalists after depantsing Braga. Over reacting? Sure. But still, it baffles the intelligent mind how Arsenal plays so expertly one match and then dogs it the next.
Should I really be complaining? Arsenal sit 2nd in the table and still undefeated. Could be worse...I could be a Liverpool fan right now. I must admit I have taken to Blackpool as my "relegation" team to follow. They are exciting to watch when I can catch them. Hopefully they can keep their place in the middle of the table by season's end.
Manchester United vs. Liverpool Sunday night? Boring game until the last third of the match. I need to download the it and watch it through. Everton fighting Manchester United to a draw last week? Exciting stuff!
Come on, let's get some dialogue going on the season so far. Loudwon? Mambo? Yoyopo? The guy who is a Chelsea fan here? Anyone else?
Oh yeah...Sp*rs are sh!t!
