Has anyone got (deliberate) feedback set up on their mixer?
I.e the mixer plugged into itself and you can manipulate the feedback with volume controls etc.
If anyone has, how have you set it up?
Cable from the headphone socket plugged into the mic channel or a cable from one of the line in's plugged into the mic channel or completely different?!

After watching a Vestax Scratch Perverts video (Yes video) the other night I tried to set up a feedback loop on my mixer.
LOL it didnt really work, I wanted cool electronic beeps and shiz... I got rumbles and high pitch noises very unsuccessful.
Has no one else even tired this or is it more of a European thing?!

well i dont normally use it to do feedback i use it to do a double filter for making beats... especially for making highpass filters. if you have 1 TT hooked into the mixer on channel 1 you set the headphones to hear channel 1. then you take the headphone output and plug it into channel 2 and set the fader to channel 2. at that point if you open the fader for both sides (channels 1 and 2) you should be getting feedback... one of the problems with it is that it gets really loud really fast! ive never tried to use it for scratching nor have i seen the video that you are taking about so i hope that it helps you a little bit. but i think for the most part the rumble was from the bass being to high. another way that i seem to get feeback going accidntally is if my bass is to high. the needle actually picks up bass from the speakers and it starts to shake my room from the bass feedback. i hope that i helped you in some way.

What I'd like to know is how this can be done and have the feedback stay at a level that's usable in a performance situation. Doing this on the fly makes the signal out of the mixer so hot that it's considerably louder than the line level just playing tunes. Maybe there's gotta be a compressor/limiter directly out of the mixer to keep the levels in check??
Tried this with my vestax pmc07 back in the day messing with eq's/gain/pan/faders with this feedback in quite the trip. Throwing in a hardware delay/distortion/glitch sample and hold/other sorts of dsp with this would be SICK could get some great sounds out of it for sure
Iduno what do you guys think??

Yes it does get really loud really quick!
The only feedback I'm able to get is really loud and uncontrollable and unpredictable!
I want to be able to flick the line switch on then off and get a nice beep.
What about if I plug a cable in the R signal and then back into the L signal of the line input would that work?
I would play around and see what I can do but when feedback doesnt work it f**ks you up!!
Also getting my new mixer 
delivered this week and I dont wanna be messing about on that trying to get some beeps!
I like that high pass filter idea using the headphone socket etc, never heard of that before.
I thought, (well I assumed) there is a way of running usable feedback without having to have a compressor or anything else plugged in, just plugging the mixer into itself?!
