Right....the time has come to show my true blue Chelsea colours to the PUTS forum. I have been a Chelsea fan for as long as i can remember now after my mums parents took me to see the mighty blues as a youngster.
As usual with Blue Day (my name for Chelsea) we start the season with a new manager....and for the first time in my life our manager is acutally younger than me (only by a year...but still). OK so he had a very good season with Porto and knows the Chelsea set-up after his time with the club as a scout for Jose (ahhh Jose if only you'd come back *wipes a tear from his eye*). So once again i have fresh hope that league could be coming back to the kings road...however so far as much as i am loving our new young manager the signing that i thought have yet to come. Personally i would sell Drogba and get him off the wage bill and we won't have to put up with his sulking for yet another season if he doesn't get a game, also i don't beleive Modric is worth another bid £22million was a fair price in my opion and £27million really should've sealed the deal...anyway i say move on and try to put our money (oh yes we have cash) into Javier Pastore from Palmero as that boy is going to be a star!!!!
If we are going to play 4-3-3 (which looks likely) we need a pacey winger and again i'd look to Adam Johnson at Man City (sorry Loudwon). I saw him play for England at Wembley and the boy has skills. Other than that we are lucky to have a experienced squad, which with a few young fresh faces and the hope of a young keen managerial mind could bring the title back....
Just one more thing....the Prem League means more to me than the Champions League.
As for the rest....i can only see Man City getting better although i think there squad does need to be a bit more stable going forward.
Man Utd will always be a threat (until Fergie goes)
Arsenal....its a hard one, they play some of the best football in the league and maybe the world but for some reason the mentality is just not there for the long run and if the rumoured players leave then it only looks to get worst....i just Wenger is just to arrogant and has too much pride to go back on his "Transfer Policy" and that will be there downfall
Liverpool.....i am afraid the King Kenny Magic is going to fade and die over the season and it could be another tough one for them....there pre season hasn't been great and losing to Hull (sorry Hull fans) no matter what team is out there is just not on.
Spurs....Harry wants to keep his best players but the bottom line is he should've invested last year when they were in the Champions league...now they aren't there best players won't want to hang around much after this season so i can see them missing out on the top 4 again.
Lastly i'd like to draw your attention to a brilliant little club that may just provide some upsets and entertainment next season.....Norwich.....they will play some good football and give it a good go in the league...i reckon they'll go back down but it'll be fun watching them.
So i am going to make a bold top 4 prediction, if anyone would like to join me then feel free:
1.Chelsea (sorry i just had to)
2.Man Utd
3.Man City
4.Arsenal
Oh one last thing.......how about a PUTS dream team league?? Anyone up for that??
