yea, i wasnt gonna download it here but i just wanted to see what it was, so yea, only 5 more hours till go time lol
This doesn't belong on the "Highlighter" thread, so I'm putting it here:
I'm a little too into this transcribing thing. Case in point: I was transcribing "We Got It" this evening and got about eight or nine lines in, then realized that I didn't know what the plural of "ho" was, so being the tremendous nerd that I am, I actually googled it.
In the wake of radio host Don Imus' racist "nappy-headed hos" comment that caused a lot of controversy (it happened a few years ago, I think), a few people in the print media actually brought it up. I guess that "ho's" doesn't make sense because no one adds an apostrophe just to go plural, and "hoes" can be confused with the garden tool... so most newspapers were spelling it "hos"...
So, for what it's worth.... Acid Raindrops, Tamburo 5, Wannabes, The Mike & Chris Story, Live At The Fishbucket Pt. 2, and Tales of Kidd Drunkadelic have now been corrected from "hoes" to "hos"
I know this relieves a lot of anxiety for you cats.
The following release pages are up with all lyric links transcribed and added:
http://www.thepointoftherhyme.com/otherreleases/redheadedstepfather.htm
http://www.thepointoftherhyme.com/singles/youthexplosion.htm
http://www.thepointoftherhyme.com/singles/thecat.htm
http://www.thepointoftherhyme.com/singles/wellbethere.htm
That includes new lyrics pages for Friday Afternoon Taco Shop, "Chris Says" Nice One, Nothing At All, Suite For Any Major Dude, and all the internet-leaked joke tracks.
Also, I've removed the disclaimer about the lyrics not being verified for the instrumentals (Sunroof, Schooled in the Trade, etc.) and on the Ancient Mariner joke tracks. The first three tracks of Highlighter also have a different disclaimer now.
And finally, I've got to say that Thes is ridiculous on that Rime of the Ancient Mariner reading for the fake leak... what drugs were you on when you read that, homie? "Fried chicken"?!?!
Huh... that last post didn't bump this thread to the top like it should've... posting again for a bump.
your last 3 posts came up as spam...?? sorry bout that sactown, glitch in the matrix!

woah... what just happened to me?
the lyrical machine just got hacked!
Haha, I'm equipped with simple progamming, so it's fairly easy to hack me. I usually shut down if someone brings something I want in the room: a pepperoni pizza... new PUTS record... Super Metroid... 36C-cups, light-bronze skin, and some straight brunette hair... you know the deal.
By the way, all singles pages through "Yield/Out Da Club" are up now (no new lyrics pages though). The possible schedule from here on out:
And like Brendan/spelunk said, a lot (or all) of this is getting merged with the PL70 site, so things may change a bit. I think he and I will be talking more at the S.F. show on 11/1 and hammering out details.
Gettin' a little bit done each night... tonight it was the Pass The 40 and Tuxedo Rap singles pages, and under the Other Releases link off the main page, it should now also list the Tuxedo Rap (Remix) page... for that one, I had to transcribe and post the Tuxedo Rap (DJ Mekalek Party Mix) lyrics, so that's up now too.
And on a ultra-frivolous (and nerdy) note, the navigation bar and/or tabs in your browser should now display a little CTI record icon that I hand-drew in Photoshop (it's not working on the main entry page yet [I'm not sure why], but it should display on every other page).

A few more notes from work I put in last night:
Man you should have a donate button there or something. Nice work.
That's actually a pretty good idea, haha. I wonder if I'd actually get a donation from some people. Do I need a permit for that, I wonder...Saakki said:

Well from my point of view, you should have the blessing of the P for your work and the time you have put on to lyrics should be rewarded somehow. I would donate..or buy you few rounds of good beer if we would ever meet up!
After giving it some thought, I'm not gonna add a donate button, haha... it's Thes and Double's lyrics that I'm posting, so it wouldn't be right for me to profit by reproducing other people's sh*t (even if it is time consuming and I have Thes/Double's consent)... BUT if you guys come to a show that I'm at, I'll always accept a beer in lieu of a donation
Also, I posted this on another thread, but it should probably go here:
