I was wondering what tracks people had noticed distinct differences between the mix found on wax compared to CD/iTunes/etc. I was listening to "Suite for Creeper" and noticed that the funny sample at the beginning "Man....take a hit a this...its some goooood stuff..", isn't on the wax version. It just starts the song at like 0:04 into the CD version. I was wondering if anyone else had noticed this, and whether there was a known reason (uncleared sample, etc). Another one I noticed is on Thes' Lifestyle Marketing album, "Gate City Savings and Loan" has a really tight intro on the CD version that is pretty much not there in the wax version. It starts with thunder, and then some really reverberant sample of idk slowed down vibraphone sample or some other pitched percussion instrument, then the beat slowly fades in, very reverberant at first and getting dryer sounding till it comes in completely. The wax version just starts with the beat fading in I think......no thunder or other intro sample etc.
Anybody else notice some other examples like these? Was wondering why there is a difference.....which one Thes likes etc - greg
