In time-honoured tradition, Thes One and Raashan (Crown City Rockers) have organised not one but TWO rap jams on the weekend of July 4th in Los Angeles and San Francisco!
Performances from People Under The Stairs, Crown City Rockers, Giant Panda (who will be celebrating the release of their new album 'Fly School Reunion') and Aesthetics Crew plus special celebrity guest DJs throughout the night!

Saturday 2nd July - San Francisco, 1516 Fulsom Street Apt. C (top floor loft)
Sunday 3rd July - Los Angeles, 1001 E. 1st Street (under the famous first street bridge!)

There will also be a basement in LA with MPC's set up for producers to rock their beats and cats to rhyme... $20 Dance Battle as well!

'The Bomb Combo' is the People Under The Stairs track that will appear on the Impeach the Precedent LP, alongside tracks by Crown City Rockers, Jurassic 5 and others. The CD / vinyl compilation will be released within the next few months but in the meanwhile check out the Impeach the Precedent EP, which is well worth a trip to the shops.
Murs' Comurshul has been added to Double K's records section and five new photos from the 10th October Holland show can be found in the live gallery.

Thes One's new project with 80% of Giant Panda (Maanumental, Newman, Superbrush 427 and Sir Kado), Bloquera, is gathering momentum and a self-titled EP will be coming out soon. Judging by Tres Record's last release, Giant Panda's 'With It' 12", Bloquera's forthcoming release should be super dope. Tres Records is gathering a fat roster of new acts so watch that space at tresrecords.com closely. You can also check it out for a Bloquera video, including Thes in a canoe...
I also suggested a while back that People Under The Stairs' next album, Stepfather, may be their last. Well, it was an evil rumour so you can now sleep easy. PUTS will be going forever!

A dope new release from Tres Records, Giant Panda's With It 12", has been added to the records section. The b-side features Thes One rhyming on a track called 'Racist' - go pick it up now!
I also met Dizzy Dustin and DJ Einstein from Ugly Duckling recently, who told me the long-awaited Impeach the Precedent LP should be out around December. Put it on your Christmas lists people! The Impeach the Precedent EP is already out so go get that while you're waiting!

A couple new tour dates up on the Tour page, including a date at the London Jazz Cafe on 7th October. No other UK dates have been announced yet but I'm guessing a UK tour is in order - especially as the new album is set to drop in October. The London show is set to be a stonker too, with Blade and Mr Thing in support. Watch this space for more info.
The soon to be released 'Fabriclive: 17' compilation mixed by Aim includes a track called 'What You Say' by InI (produced by Pete Rock!) which uses the same beat as PUTS' Acid Raindrops. So if you dig that track, go pick up this CD.
I also heard The Hang Loose being played on the Extreme Sports Channel while I was watching snowboarding...

People Under The Stairs have announced the title for their upcoming album. It will be called 'Stepfather ' and should be out in October on Om Records. This has also been said to be the group's last album with Om Records.
Whether this means they will do more albums with another record label or that this is their last ever album, I don't know. More news as soon as I get it.
