If I recall correctly it takes several hours to properly charge the mp3 player when its built in battery is fully depleted? You also need to press and hold the play button for about a second or so rather than just tapping it, but you should get the hang of that pretty quickly...

Regarding the corrupt file: Have you tried playing it back on your computer directly from the thumbdrive? It might just be that something went wrong while copying it to your main hard drive..?
(If it turns out the mp3 really is broken though drop me a PM and I'll get that straightened out for you. )

I got mine secondhand because I missed it the first time around. How does the MP3 player work? I plugged it in for a while but haven't been able to get anything to play.

Also, it seems like one of the files is corrupt when I copied them onto my hard drive. On & On if I remember correctly?

I'd debated getting a copy, didn't but wish I did.

I'd never rob someone for the box set (or anything).

on the subject of signing.... got my signed copy of Blade's 'The Lion goes from strength to strength' out the other day and my wife asked who'd ruined it by writing on the front.....

Twelve's got a valid point. Depending on the type of wood and ink, there's likely to be some seepage of ink.

And while it probably would be cool to roll up to Thes with the wooden box I'd be kinda cautious about

a) having the box itself signed (outer lid vs. inner lid?; what kind of pen to use on wood? black marker just feels wrong somehow and would stand out like crazy compared to the laser carving..?)

and

b) potential damages en route to/at the show; requiring an all-out security detail to get it back home again safely. How many fellow P fans who missed out would kill to get their hands on a copy..?

It still kinda blows my mind that I was able to get my hands on this. I was on a naval deployment, but five members of my department - self included - got to go off the ship and rotate through a land based detachment for a couple weeks. I originally was scheduled to go there in like june/july. For some reason I got switched to mid-late august. There I had consistent usable internet so I checked out this site on a whim and it happened to be the day before the vinyl went on sale. Then I was able to put my F5 skills to work so I could nab an order when it released. If things hadn't worked out perfect on the timing I would have missed this completely.

That 'Ma Fleur' boxed set has just been delivered to me this morning...it's a self bought Christmas present!
