What's up, Doug? I'm a big fan of y-... ah (bleep), nevermind the (un)pleasantries, you've heard 'em all before.

Just wanted to tell you about a really (bleep)ing good book (I know you don't read much, but give this one a chance... seriously). It's called "The Mop" by a guy named Alan Simpson, and it details the exploits of a porn store clerk in the seedy "Kings Cross" area of Sydney, Australia. It's gross, it's funny, and... hell, it reminds me a lot of your stand up (well... the porn-store-toy, sick-(bleep) topical stuff).

The first 20 or so pages don't contain much deviancy, but after that... (bleep), the other 200 pages are fabulous. In one book, you get:
1) a trainer on where the (bleep) accumulates on cheap anal beads
2) a refresher course in buttplugs
3) amyl nitrate
4) "jizz hunting"
5) a "(bleep)slab"
6) strippers, lowlifes, an Indian man holding his bleeding priapism, "The Screamer", a (bleep) freak, and... "Dave".

It is being independently produced and distributed, too ((bleep) the Man, I guess... right?) by the Piecelock 70 collective (mostly started up for hip-hop acts, but the guy in charge is branching out), so more of the money is going to the author than if it was being sold by Warner Bros or Harper Collins or some (bleep).

Anyway, now that I'm done with my spiel (did I mention the book talks about jizz a lot?), I hope you'll look into it. Go to pl70.net and click on their "store" link to find the "limited edition first run" of the book (under "publishing"... I think.)

If you're not interested, than eat my (bleep), you (bleep)-(bleep)... or do another show in Sacramento soon, 'cause I was busy on the nights you came through earlier this year.

In the meantime, maybe I can find something else to entice you into reading this (bleep)... I'd send you a naked picture of my wife, but every time we get naked and I get the camera out, she immediately thinks it's "Karate Kid" night and she roundhouse-kicks me in the head and calls me "Daniel-san" while she strangles me with a black-belt and tells me to imagine she's a little old Japanese man... you know how it is.

I was also thinking about trying to contact Nick Hornby (the guy who wrote High Fidelity and About A Boy and other things) because the feel of The Mop is similar (albeit more pornographic), but I wasn't sure...

The limited edition set is sent in a PL70 white shipping bag (plastic), so it's got that layer of coverage to it... but if people at your work open the outer layer, then you might have problems: right inside the shipping bag is the box, and it's got a strip of nudie magazine pasted onto it.
