Macy: that's awesome! I had no idea, but knowing the P a little, that doesn't surprise me that much. Still that is COOL. Thanks for the sweet tip-off.

YoYo: Dude! My eternal gratitude!! I'm so glad you were able to find it. I plan to do something cool with it (emphasis on plan, haha) so I'll post some pics when I execute.

Between the two of you guys, I literally got the most I could've ever asked for out of this. As you can tell, I'm pretty psyched! Thanks again!

Well spotted, Macy. You must be stoned. <img src="https://www.putsonline.co.uk/forum/my-plugins/bb-smilies/pfunk/icon_eek.gif" title="8-O" class="bb_smilies" />

Just checked the Next Step LP and it doesn't have the intersecting, so you are holding something rare indeed.

When you're not so high, take a picture and post it.

It's a really cool logo, I hope you find a good size. they're usually so small being on the corner of the release, might be hard to find a big one that hasn't been blown up.
so basically not sure if you already knew, but the logo is in homage to CTI records (Creed Taylor Inc), a jazz label from the 70s. Same logo, just CTI in diagonal instead of PUTS.
fun fact, if you look close (and have an original copy) at the PUTS logo on the very first single, The Next Step II 12", the 'T' intersects with the 'U,' whereas all the other instances of using the PUTS logo has the 'T' running into, not through, the 'U.' (i don't have an original Next Step LP though, so that release might possibly have the same intersecting T/U as the single.)
i wish i was tech-savvy enough to easily pop up some pics, but I am too stoned and too far into my 20s to figure it out.
I think they stopped using the diagonal logo once they started bouncing around labels, not sure why.

So over the last few days I've been on a quest for an icon you see on the P's earlier albums. It's a small square that says "PUTS" diagonally across it with the word "records" across the top horizontally. I'm sure you've seen it, maybe you've noticed it but here are a few examples:

On "The Next Step," you can see it in the top left.

And on "American Men,"its at the bottom right.

This logo (or whatever you want to call it) is on their first four albums (up to "O.S.T."). What I'm looking for is a large, clean image of this, and if anyone knows of one or can find one, I'd be extremely grateful if you tossed it my way. Also, if anyone knows anything interesting about it, I'd also love to hear it. My aim in all this is to use the image to make a stencil or sticker, and obviously there'd be no sale of it or other commercial use. So, yeah if anyone has any leads on this, that would be quite helpful.
