I actually love reading articles which discussed ways of staying healthy that's why when I came across this thread I decided to post. :) In addition, people go to gyms to get healthy, but too often they may also be getting robbed. According to the Better Business Bureau, around 9,400 complaints were filed last year against fitness experts, gyms and health clubs. That is 15 percent higher than last year. But there are things you can try to find and steps you can take to keep away from being taken to the cleaners. You can visit here to read more of the article: Staying Healthy.

Anybody ever get any word on how Thes lost and kept all his weight off? I now see on instagram that he is farming his own veggies.

My thing is, if I go overboard on the beer too much I pack on the weight. Just started getting back into the gym but dammit, I want a couple of beers after the day is over!

Those are some good before and after pics Sac! Never heard of anyone's neck being the main health issue though. I'm guessing some cardio would be best for that neck of yours. I was pretty much fat-free till I hit 30. From that point on, fat started accumulating on me. At 35, I got asthma and my health got worse. Staying away from unhealthy food now, and tried out some of these P90X workouts since my first post on this thread. Should have taken a "before" pic, but don't want yall laughing at me, haha.

I’m 32 now. I was always really lucky to have a superfast metabolism. I could pretty much eat whatever I like and do no exercise and I never went over about 12 stone (about 170 pounds). When I hit about 26/27, it all started adding up. I now weigh about 15 stone (210 pounds). I’m pretty tall so I can get away with it most of the time (I can hold my belly in and puff out my chest if need be, ha ha). The one thing that really stews my p!ss is having a huuuuge neck. Any help on that?

Thanks, homies. Here's a pic of me Jenny-Craig-stylin'... just imagine a voiceover: "...and for 7 low payments of $29.95, you can get the all-in-one salad chopper, smartphone, and blunt roller! Order today!"

Don't have many good photos of me as a tank-@ss. I guess you can see it in my fat face in this Godfather-style wedding photo. My wife's up in this too, so imagine she's lost 42 pounds too:

But yeah, even though a lot of what I eat now is green or lean, I'm still eating some carbs and even noshing on the occasional chicken mcnugget, but I balance it out with a workout if my carb counter tells me I'm being a pig. For me, it was all in the portion sizes (I was bustin' a large pizza in one sitting, no problem... or some chicken strips two times a day or something), and the grease and eating out too much was just killing me.

I feel like a recovering alkie, 'cause I still want to go into a feeding frenzy if I walk by some fresh-baked donuts or something (cue the second Homer pic, haha). From what I hear, the good balance is 55% carbs, 30% fats, 15% proteins, or something like that (I'm always going over-protein and under-fat though).

The exercise is just a couple of walks on work breaks or a bike ride or something. We also bought an elliptical that we were never using, so I whipped that out while I was watching movies.

Now if I can just take the 65 lbs I lost and add them to my wallet size, I should be good.

Wow Sac, that is impressive. You should post some before and after pics, haha. But seriously from 227 down to 162 is awesome.

Thanks a lot SLC. I've been wondering about that for the longest time, and only got conflicting/no clear answers from google.
