DizzyE said: I was just wondering what software you all use to make beats and whch you think is the best. I use AcidPro but my friend uses fruity loops and says its way better. So what would most of you say is the best? Is it Fruity , Pro or something else ive never heard of?

I've tried ableton, acid, and reason, but fruity loops does it for me. it was the most intuitive and easiest to use.

i got a MPC 2000 xl last year, and it actually taught me how to use fl better.
I'm slowly going to the MPC more and ditching the software, but i still use it at least half the time.

fly t said: cu base is good thats what i use plus i find when i go to lotta studios they also use it,makes tings easier
Yeah, I've used Cubase a lot, but I've never had the money to get a legitimate, full version (too busy buying things on eBay, d*mnit!)

The "security dongle" fake-out that my version of Cubase 3 uses (I got all this several years back from a homie) doesn't work with my Windows 7 Ultimate though, so it looks like I'm going to have to go legitimate. Dang.

I've used frooty loops but Reason is way better. You can play it as a keyboard instrument or get tricky with the NNXT sampler and play it like an MPC if you have a pad midi controller. I also use Reason in Acid through ReWire.
I highly recommend Reason.
