Thank You Russelll Simmons & Puffy Daddy(his original name)... McD's hired them as Advertisement Consultant's for their ideas to make their brand more "appealing" to the younger generation. Here's more about the sellout of hiphop culture http://www.businessweek.com/magazine/content/03_43/b3855001_mz001.htm. I guess it's not much different from Pepsi hiring Michael J for all those 80's commercials...

i hear you dodo, seems like everything has a price tag and can be made mainstream, but i jus grin now, like a year or two ago, they were taking big underground electro and dance anthems and sticking a whack vocal on top, and it sold thousands. nothing is sacred or can put a price on anything, however, dj hero is a bit of run and if it gives us the next grandmaster flash of hip hop then its done its job, and if colin mcrae rally makes a kid want to drive a car then its done its job and if call of duty makes me want to go to war, then its, oh wait, bad example, who knows maybe the goverments create war games to get people to join the army. lol.

Although i understand why some would get upset by the game being that its not "true" turntables and its fake etc. etc... but from a different point of view you have to look at it as ... not everyone wants to spend hundreds even thousands of dollars (my roomate is a dj so i know its expensive) on equipment and getting serato and mixing and doing everything it entails. Some just want to play for fun and just see what its like. It is JUST a video game so no need to get so worked up folks:) Djing is amazing and a true art when folks do it right, but I mean if you get upset about this, then you would get upset about ANYTHING thats not real like guitar hero, video games where you race (why not do the real thing) type of deal... (dont want to list examples:-p but i think you get what i am saying) I dont like guitar hero because it hurts my hand and its boring and for whoever said that its just as easy as a real guitar! no its not! lol my fingers will not do what guitars can do! but anyways back to my point

regardless it is just a silly game for kids/adults to enjoy so no need to make it a big deal. It doesn't look THAT interesting to me so i think i can pass.

i did post back in january, its still good, the downloadable mixes are a pile of sh!t, but i tend to crack it out at some social gatherings, tell my mate to bring his guitar hero and he can rock while i DJ, im not sure wher the game will go next, it could be make or break, will they go more hiphop? or maybve more dance? well see. privce tag still too much but w/e, cop it second hand at a gamestation for £60.
