phpbb.com for the forum, pretty easy to set up. Just create a database on the server (I did this with some automated thing) and then install the forum, add whatever styles, pics etc you want and you're off. Just follow the instructions and it's fine - the more complex you want it to be, the more complex you edit it

and I haven't learnt any of this from school, I did a computing course but that's different stuff, all homegrown <img src="https://www.putsonline.co.uk/forum/my-plugins/bb-smilies/pfunk/icon_cool.gif" title="8-)" class="bb_smilies" />

Yeah, YO I use html only as well. You get used to looking at <table> this and <td> that after awhile. But yeah, it sure does take time. Its all about copy paste though.
Ive recently been using this great free source editor called PHP Designer, which is nice if your using different languages, making it so you can toggle between different text highlighting based on what your using.

Anyway, Im wrapping up work on a website for a a schools parent teacher org and am thinking about putting in a message board for the kids. Was phpBB easy to set up and everything? It seems like a totally seperate entity so you basicaly just drop it in?

Oh yeah, and are you giong to school for computer related stuff or is this just a hobby?

thanks for the thanks...

slyjak this is my first website, first attempt, first everything. I done it all myself just html really. The whole forum section is pretty automated unless you want to do complex stuff - nosebleed is just a style you can put in and with a menu you can change the colours etc how you like. The forum has really been the easiest section to do... the rest just takes time <img src="https://www.putsonline.co.uk/forum/my-plugins/bb-smilies/pfunk/icon_rolleyes.gif" title="" class="bb_smilies" />

Just wanted to say props on the site and thank you as well YoYoPo.

Ive been doing web development for a bit now and wanted to know how much of the site you actually did yourself yoyo. Did you have to learn php, or is NoseBleed straitforward? Anyway, just curious about some of the strife you went through bringing this thing about.

But back to the point.....props.

Yo P,

Youre my favorite hip hop crew. It once was A Tribe Called Quest but one day my friend intorduced my to the P "Original Soundtrack" and I said screw Quest (no dis to Quest, but the P is the sh!t). Im in VA and we know that yall really dont come on the east coast that much but we love the tracks you guys put out. All i do is smoke a blunt then put my P cds in and it doesnt matter what one it is cuz theyre all beast. We really hope that the P will come to VA one day. It would be a highlight of my life yo! In conclusion, Thes One and Double K are living legends for real. I never knew that funky hip hop could come out of the west coast but now i know better. Peace
