There was a good scene round these parts in the 90's. There was a jazz funk revival, my home town of Leicester had a good club with good artist coming. You know, a cat jumps on a good thing and has fun. You heard of talking loud records? I was buddies with some of them dudes.

Tracks i love from the 80's......skinny boys weightless. For me that's THE hip hop album right there. Raw, beats rhymes and cuts. All yoh need. Not great production but hey ho.

T la rock, breaking bells and its time to chill are up there for me. Mantronix, in fact most mantronik produced stuff.
I soaked up the juice crew sh!t. Seen them back in 87 or so. Marley Marl and Cool c cuttin on 2 sets of decks was awesome.

Philly influenced me a lot too. Schoollys a favourite. Very underrated i reckon. Tuff crew.

Man, there's so much i could go on for hours.

My kids got a lot of learning to do!
