I don't see any reason to get worked up about a poorly executed "remix" attempt TBH:
If you decide to put your own spin on something that was originally produced by someone who's a true master of their craft like Thes, chances are good you'll come off looking the fool.
I'd have to say this wasn't a particularly good effort, the vocals didn't really sit right on the beat as far as I was able to tell from the brief listen I gave it and it wasn't like the new backdrop created a totally different feel for the track either... What surprised me the most was that someone must've felt this was good enough/had enough potential to press it up and sell it..?!?

There's plenty of weak remixes from aspiring "producers" to be found on youtube/soundcloud nowadays and perhaps such attempts factor into some artists' decision to not give out separate acapellas etc. to begin with, but on the flipside I can think of many great remixes and/or other unofficial tracks that came out in such an under the radar manner and without explicit consent of the creators/owners, so I'm not about to knock the format... <img src="https://www.putsonline.co.uk/forum/my-plugins/bb-smilies/pfunk/icon_wink.gif" title=";-)" class="bb_smilies" />
