Second only to the rando who hauled off and hit another guy at the New Parish in Oakland on the 12 SP tour a few years back.

For the crowd this was great. Everybody got a front row seat. I even saw Here Comes Treble right up front looking over the DJ booth at the action (somehow I missed you after the show though, and I didn't see William H. Macy - maybe he changed his hat choice).

There was no stage just a slightly elevated DJ booth and everyone was within 10 feet of it, so it was all very intimate. Before the show I had heard a group of dudes at the bar talking and I think they were all professional DJ's, then right before the show I saw Thes come out and say what's up to them. So they might've had some extra motivation to play a good set, but Thes and DJ Day played like there was a packed house.

Thes said that he'd never done a show that started the way this one did. As he was doing his introductions some drunk dude yelled out "f*** YOU, THES!!!"and totally through him off. Thes said he knew the guy and that it was cool but dudemeister kept going up the booth saying sh!t. I have no idea what he said but he got kicked out pretty quickly, so Thes must not have been too happy with it.

It's been a while now so I can't remember a lot of the songs from the set list if anyone wants to add them in. The official set was about an hour long, but they went on for 20-30 min after that just throwing together whatever random songs they felt like. They played most, if not all, of Naufrago. Did some classics and some sh!t I've never heard. Played some hooks for Thes to freestyle to, which was the best part of the show - did a great one to the Pease Porridge beat. DJ Day showed off his scratching skills and Thes did his signature chin-drumming.

From The P, they played 1 Up To The Sun Up, did a cool mash up with the Gin & Juice lyrics to Acid Raindrops, and the version of SF Knights that PUTS does at shows. Thes did the proper rhyme for SF Knights but stopped himself when it got to Double K's part saying that he wouldn't do KK's lines.

I really hope the small crowd doesn't stop them from doing more shows. It's a really cool idea having the two of them play together, and the show was a lot of fun. Can't wait for the Naufrago merch to come out, and hopefully there'll be a part II.
