Yeah I remember absolutely losing it when I pulled this out of the mailbox... I was overwhelmed with gratitude as well, very humbling to get something like this from your hero. The best part was that my 2009 was absolutely f***ing horrible and this was a huge bright spot in what was a very dark time for me.

I think it's cool that Thes made this available for others to hear, always fans over funds this guy!

This is my most treasured PUTS release that I own, I still remember getting the parcel in the post and opening it with disbelieve that the man himself had sent me something. Great to be able to hear these again without grabbing the disc out and throwing it on once every couple of years.

2009 though, time flies.

I noticed Thes changed a few of the track names - fo example ‘Four on the Floor’ is now called ‘The Return of Pepsi Rhodes’

Tracks 10 and 13 I thought were missing but they are tucked onto the end of the previous beats (one of them is the Express Yourself live chop which maybe needs hiding away slightly for obvious reasons).

A few of the beats on the original CD are also missing. One called ‘Sope Opera’, ‘Falling’ (same beat now released on the 40 Dogz soundtrack), ‘Buy Buy’ and ‘Go Home’ (this beat was the subject of pmuny’s last ever post on IG so maybe cuts a bit deep for Thes to release again).

In case you missed it, Thes put the Holiday Beat Tape from 2009 online just before christmas. This originally got sent to individual members of the forum on here as a christmas present from Thes. I can’t remember how many copies it was exactly but needless to say it was a limited few who ever heard these beats!!
