So there was a nice interview with Thes live on IG last night. Out the blue but was dope. Thes gets into some great storytelling as usual and drops some titbits about the recent studio session.

Apparently he's taken some of the last beats he ever played to Double K, back into the studio with the crew including headnodic with some bass lines. It's an instrumental project as a tribute to K, covering a lot of his fave songs. So may well include that beautiful sounding Spartacus cover...

yes dude, pretty exciting! Looked pretty similar to the Wonderful Radio sessions from a couple years back. Not sure if it is that, think we'll have to wait and see.

Apparently it was very much a tribute for Mike with his vibe in the room. I think the crew was Kat 010 on keys and Max MacVeety on drums from Crown City, Double K's long time homie P Chop on bass, M Galkin on guitar (from lammping, formerly of Gitar and DJ Alibi), Rahul from Aesthetics Crew, the P photographer Ercell and veteran P-family Peter Agoston.

One of the clips shared was one of my favourite beats from Thes's instagram session that didn't make it onto the recent mixtape (the "while we're young" Level 42 sample). So looking forward to that one getting fleshed-out for a full release!?

No idea what they are up to but couldn't help but think of the Wonderful Radio project
