The german label Melting Pot Music started an excellent instrumental series called 'Hi-Hat Club' in late 2009. So far every installment has been great. Producers featured so far are from Germany, Austria and the Netherlands.

MF Doom's 'Special Herbs' series is also well worth checking out.

Always good to see more people getting into instrumentals.
A lot of the time these days I'll be way more interested in the producer/instrumental/beat side of songs than in the lyrical content.

Since you like Fat Jon I'd definitely recommend 3582 (which is him and J. Rawls). Damu being such a favorite on these boards is also no mistake. His 'How It Should Sound' LPs are outstanding. Also from cats like these it's easy to backtrack to their favorite golden age-producers (and not just the big names but guys like Lord Finesse, Buckwild, K-Def etc.)...
