Now me liking some of Rihannas new songs are guilty pleasures! she sure cant sing but her songs are catchy as hell

I personally believe he took FAR too long to release the album, the hype built up to a ridiculous level and now everyone is expecting The Chronic 2 and i think times have changed a little too much (as have the artists themselves) ah well, well see if the album gets released and no doubt ill pick it up.

Its one of those questions that really comes down to personal taste and as such is very hard to quantify. For me i agree pretty much with Fecam....after The Chronic it seemed as though both him and Snoop had reached there peak and from then they were rehashing (excuse the pun) the same formula to try and stay relevant. I never thought Dre had much skill on the mic but there was no doubt that he had skills when it came to production. Snoop seemed to have a note book of ryhmes that he used on Doggy Style and the Chronic and since then has just been going over the same ground without much else to say. As for the rest.....well Kanye, Puffy etc really aren't my taste....as for Jay-Z its a bit of love/hate (mostly hate!!) but when you listen to his MTV unplugged session backed by The Roots then i am down with some of the tracks. I suppose my real guilty pleasure is Biggie, but only when produced by Easy Mo Bee or Premier. As De La once said....it might blow up, but it won't go pop.

Kanye is legitimately one of the best musicians out there, bar none. My opinion. People rag on him for his personal demons, but for me his music is so good that I can look past that.

On the Dr. Dre tip though, I've been disappointed all around. I'll still listen when it comes out though.

A lot of times I question whether I'm disliking someone because they blew up and made it big time, or maybe they have an image I don't like, but I think that Dre and Snoop just took their music to a place I can't follow. The jury is still out on Eminem; honestly, I haven't listened to enough of his sh*t to make a decision.

So what do you guys think of people like Kanye and Jay Z and Puffy and all those other big rap stars? Is there anyone that's BIG TIME that you guys love? Guilty pleasure?

I know i feel you on that one Po... it looks like HELLA people produced this album BUT dre.. and i love his old beats.. it gives you that whole LA feel and you always know when its a dre beat.. i honestly thought "kush" was his because of the use of the piano but nope.. but ya i know what u mean it def will probably be his more recent songs =\ I just always loved LA music.. so dre, snoop, ice cube, the game etc.. are all people i really like so initialy i was really excited about this.

guessing from the number of times it's been slated to come out, Dre's probably started this album about 5 times... I'm guessing most of what ~~will~~ might be released will be recent productions. Then again, Dre didn't even produce that new single. I was expecting some hard-as-hell Dre beats and that old fire-burning, passionate Eminem we used to know and love but left disappointed on both counts
