The Bomb Combo/PUTS has the same sample as Worst Comes To Worst/Dilated Peoples, which has the same sample as Growing Pains/Ludacis, which was known originally as I Forgot To Be Your Lover/William Bell. It was then sampled by Billy Idol in the 80s. Facepalm.

Bottom line, What You Say is a fresh ass song, Acid Raindrops is a fresh ass song, David T. Walker Lay Lady Lay is a fresh ass song, and Bob Dylan is an ass clown but his version of Lay Lady Lay has it own merits.

it's pretty awesome, you can put in a tune you want to know the samples of, or put in a tune to see who's sampled it, and it gives you the two youtube vids of the tunes and tells you exactly where in the song the sample is. Great stuff. Kinda cheating though right?

First of all after three weeks of lurking, I must say, I consider this forum to be one of the best hip hop related ones I've been on in a while .

As far as the InI and David T Walker sample...I have to agree with some of the above posters in saying that the Pete Rock joint came first. That's the cool thing about sampling, there's several different ways to flip a sample. It's like a dunk contest when you really look at it.

I've been trying to find some more material by Deda the Baby Pa....BTW
