D*mn! Could've DLed this this weekend and now I have to see this thread at work, where I can't get at it. Ah well, I'll peep it tonight. Yeah... Beastie Boys are getting up there, aren't they? When was their first hip hop single again? Wasn't it "Rock Hard" or "She's On It" or something back in '84? And all that punk sh*t from earlier really tore it up.

Eh, the retail version leaked like yesterday. I thought the album started off pretty strong but couldn't hold that pace through to the end. It's not great, but not bad either. In fact it's pretty good, it just couldn't really grab me from start to finish.

In response to news that an edited (“clean”) version of their eighth studio album, Hot Sauce Committee Part Two, had leaked to the internet, the Beastie Boys announced this week that fans can stream the full, unedited version on their website for free.

“Unfortunately due to circumstances beyond our control, the “clean” version of our new album, The Hot Sauce Committee pt 2 has leaked,” reads the announcement on the group’s official site. “So as a hostile and retaliatory measure with great hubris we are making the full explicit aka filthy dirty nasty version available for streaming on our site.”

The album was originally scheduled for commercial release on May 3, and will still be made available from most outlets (including iTunes and Amazon) on that date.
