the first page that comes up my search is putsonline.co.uk, followed bymyspace, and then two wikipedia pages. PL70 is at the bottom of the search results...

It's climbin, ended up as #9 for me, so last link on the first page not counting "Images of PUTS" and "Videos of PUTS" sections that google pulls up.

The forum page link was first on the list, and PL70.NET was first link on second page- hope this helps any :)

This site is on the top of the list at the moment and could actually include up-to-date info but no-one ever tells me sh!t about tour dates etc so I'll just keep the link to PL70 up there and ppl can find it. Meanwhile pl70.net/artists/people-under-the-stairs/ is at the bottom of the 1st page of searches, with the ad top right.

Our issue is that Facebook sharing is largely private and not trackable by Google, and links clicked on through emails are seen as direct links and aren't registered in the same way as links from external sites are. These are really the best tools out there to reach people in a non-intrusive, sensible way, and we're not going to compromise on our principals and do the kind of sneaky "content farm" stuff that so many people are doing these days, but it's frustrating that Google's pagerank can't always account properly for the amount of incoming traffic.

Google +1 also, contrary to how it may appear, doesn't affect general search rankings, only boosts rankings for pages that friends have +1'ed. But yeah, go ahead and add your +1, it can't hurt!

Ranked 13 for me, but also noticed the add on the right immediatly

Well, there's a pl70 ad on the right side on the first page, but from the actual search results, the website is 8 links down on the second page, 11 links down if you count the sub-listings for PUTS related videos
