It will be interesting to see how Apple will be dealing with its next releases now that Jobs is totally out. Well, he was out of them helm the last time they had something going but that is sort of different as he still held some influence over how things went through.

And the biggest question, which has also been going on rumor sites is whether they are going to finally snap to making 4 inch screens.

I guess they are releasing an autobiography. This guy was interesting for a CEO... didn't bathe for a while, went Zen Buddhist, and even experimented in the counter-culture... I bet he scared the straight-laced conservative Protestant businessmen sh*tless.

the article said:
In the book, Jobs says LSD "reinforced my sense of what was important — creating great things instead of making money, putting things back into the stream of history and of human consciousness as much as I could."

If only Jobs wouldn't have put those tabs in Double's O.E. before the Cupertino show <img src="https://www.putsonline.co.uk/forum/my-plugins/bb-smilies/pfunk/icon_lol.gif" title="X-D" class="bb_smilies" />

Indeed. I woke up and found out last night (I work the night shift). Every computer in my home studio is a Mac. For Pro Tools and other DAW's, Macs just work better and receive fewer errors/crashes. He will be missed by many.... <img src="https://www.putsonline.co.uk/forum/my-plugins/bb-smilies/pfunk/icon_sad.gif" title=":-(" class="bb_smilies" />

RIP, Mr. Jobs.

I've owned something by Apple since the days of the Macintosh IIsi (that's pre-"PowerMac" even), so I've definitely been in the Apple game for a while. Still got my iPhone & iPod classic. I also have a good friend that works for them in Cupertino, and writes the manuals that you get with the products (although, getting an idea of future Apple products from my friend is impossible... he sticks to his non-disclosure agreement like glue).

I understand people's gripes against them and the apparent "elitism" of their pricing, but I also understand that their products have been extremely high quality (for the most part... *cough* antenna *cough*), and even if they lag in innovation for a while (or have to bite other people's ideas to catch up), whatever they set their mind to is done right, and I think a lot of that was the business model that Steve set up... so cheers to Jobby-Jobs, most definitely.

Never been much of an apple consumer but I DEF appreciate the man's ingenuity and vision. I'd probably not be typing this message, in the convenience of my own home, if it wasn't for that man's ideas! He will be sorely missed by all walks and creeds...

It has become apparent from many different news sources that Steve Jobs has passed away today. As a longtime Apple fan I am very sad to see him go. I know that he and his family have known this day was coming but his death is still quite a shock. Rest in peace Steve, you will be missed. A true innovator and family man. - Greg
