The beat that Guttah raps on is from a song called "New York" by AZ w/ Raekwon and Ghostface.

The fact that the Mek tracks are the ones you like best is a good thing. This is essentially a mixtape, in an era where the line between mixtapes and albums are blurred.

We are back in the studio this summer making new music over original Mekalek beats. We'll probably ask you to pay for those.

VICIOUS EXPERIMENTS is Time Machine's first step back into releasing music since 2008's LIFE IS EXPENSIVE. The title pays homage to the late great Gil Scott-Heron, referencing a lyric from his song "Tuskeegee #626". This new project finds influences in an eclectic array of music from Jamaican Funk to Florida Bass to '70s Italian Soundtrack up to contemporary Hip Hop and Indie, along with 3 original tracks by TM's DJ/producer, Mekalek. The process of creating these songs experimented with minimalist technology, including editing with consumer software like Garage Band, and recording some vocals straight into a laptop without use of a microphone. The themes and the sense of humor are vintage Time Machine... VICIOUS EXPERIMENTS is a welcome return for a cult favorite.

Honest opinion?
I'll give 4 to 5 out of 5 stars to: Nothing to Worry About, Tomorrow's Oldies, The Art of Tease, & Inna Zone.

2 to 3 out of 5 stars to: Feel the Beat, Truth, Winter Gear, & Alone in New York.
Alone to New York really has two parts to it. The first half gets a 1, but the second half with Guttah is def a 5; that beat he is rhyming to makes me wanna hit a subway with my bag of cans.

1 out 5 stars to: Cocktails

0 out of 5 stars to: Edibles; this song took a trip through my recycle bin.The beat is straight jiggidy swaggidy wack.

As for the skits. Well, skits are skits.

Overall a solid album, but wish I never heard Edibles.
...and that's my honest take on it.

BTW, I'd gladly pay something for some of these songs, no need to be free.

Due to bad traffic I listen to it twice on my way home....I like it & the Thes skit is classic, the beat(le) behind it is great work & I've always thought it would be a dope sample to use. Good looking time machine & thanks for the free DL. Peace.

I was thinking about this the antoher day wondering when it would be put on the boards and now here it is!!!! good stuff.....i am on right away, will listen on my way home in the car tonight.....excited!!!

Any news on some physical madia for this.....got the other CD's and would like to add this to my collection....also the TM artwork is always dope.
