@AGP i seen (pretty sure) tha fake doom 08'. he didn't sound right for his set, he tried lipsinging, and had a tiny hype man harassing tha crowd. lol. everyone had a puzzled look for his set but there were/are better acts than doom. Saw Pharcyde, Atmosphere, Haiku d' etat, and got to chill with Eyedea r.i.p. and Sage Francis as well that day!

Never really been a fan of "DOOM", but give me some Zeb Love X and I will bump that sh!t all day. Alter egos or Aliases are cool and everything to a certain point, but "DOOM" is a great example of a decent idea being taken WAY to far! Like Madlib making a million mediocre albums a year under a million different names, after a while it stops being about the music and becomes a distracting sideshow that I can't get down with...

I could see it being part of the persona/act/mystique except for the part where he threatened to not come unless they paid him more. that's just doin it for the money at that point.

I do get the point that Doom sending "Doombots" fits his fictional persona but it still isn't right for the fans.
I wonder if he has some principle about sending impostors or not.
For example last year he visited Finland (olitko Flowssa Saakki? Itellä jäi intin takia väliin) and from the pictures it seems that he was there himself, but now he is doing this sh!t again.

That's sad. I did see DOOM live once. The real one. But hey..he is the villain. Like he does not have any money to do smaller venues

Anyone on here been to see DOOM since he's been living in the UK?

Man....I love the guy but this fake DOOM business???....he says in interviews its all part of the act, people who come to see DOOM come to hear music not see it and that bookings have gone up since he started doing it...

f*** that!

If I paid hard earned money to travel see him and he sent some no-mark in the mask I'd want to 'pound his tin crown face in' too.

The result of all this is I won't go to see a DOOM show on the off chance this sh!t will happen.
And he's a legend.
Sad.
