OM Records has some amazing artists on it if you are interested in house music. Check out the Om Lounge albums, they have really nice laidback jazzy stuff on it. I believe that was the album series that "Schooled in the Trade" first appeared. Om and Dirtybird are my two favorite SF-based record labels.

Loving the beat... it's basically a "Roadbeaters" remix in terms of lyrics though. I actually meant to add this to The Point Of The Rhyme (on the album list page), but forgot. I'll have to get on that.

Wassup people! I haven't been on this forum for a long, long time, however never stopped listening to the P. Saw them in Brighton, UK last night. What a show - those dudes are so down to earth, love the fact they had just set up a simple foldable table inside the venue and was selling their own merch! Were a pleasure to meet and had so much time for their fans. True gents!

Anyways, back to it - I guess the link to Mark Farina is that he's on Om records to whom PUTS were signed to at the time. Plus he likes his smoky downtempo stuff, which as we all know is a strength of the P. As a sidenote, if you like house music, Mark Farina has an amazing set of podcast mixes thru his label, Great Lake Audio.

Missed this one! Ive got a couple of the mushroom jazz compilations which are of outstanding quality, perhaps i will give Farinas other catalogue titles a try.

Oh yeah I have this on cd. Always been a huge fan of Farina's Mushroom Jazz series. Would be interesting to know more about how did these cat meet up since Marina uses PUTS/Thes tracks on Mushroom Jazz albums too. Friends or sumthn.
