funkyhomosapien said: Cheers. They're all pretty cheap on ebay so I guess it's not too much of a loss if it turns out to be sh*t. I was listening to some really expensive ones today (like £800) and I swear the Technics I got second hand for £20 was just as good. I'll keep my ears/ eyes peeled for this katie girl aswell. <img src="https://www.putsonline.co.uk/forum/my-plugins/bb-smilies/pfunk/icon_wink.gif" title=";-)" class="bb_smilies" />

Yo everybody
I'm looking into getting a second hand turntable (one just isn't enough in my house) for playing records, not deejaying, but it needs to sound good. I noticed in the book 'Behind The Beat' Thes has an old belt drive Technics (SL-BD22 I think) and wondered what that was like. If its good enough for him it must be OK I'm thinking. I've got a Technics sl-1610 with an audio technica cartridge and that sounds fine to my ears so if its of the same sort of standard that would be great. Any info would be much appreciated!
