there was a comp back in 2003 called brainfreeze breaks ( obviuosly !)which gave all the 7"s in their full form, i wonder if this might of been a promo for that rather than an OG...still ain't sure!

davalo7 said: if they are supposed to be mad rare, why does the kid have a bunch of copies. looks like he's sold a few already. i'd say it's full of sh!t.

yeah i agree i know that dealers can, from time to time, find that out back they have stacks of what might be called a raer record, but i'm not sure about this one, frankly i'm getting fed up with bayers and there re-issue funk 45s undercover of an original, but having said that dude does state its OG.On the face it of it i can't see any reason to doubt it, but bay has made me cynical !!
I'm tempted to get this just to find out as you say for $40.00 it might be worth it.

I was wondering If this story is a load of sh!t or If its true. Help a brother out.

You are bidding on an original funk 45 rpm 7-Eleven promo record as used by dj shadow and cut chemist on their legendary brainfreeze mix. Actually, the whole brainfreeze theme was based on this little record right here. Take pride in owning a rare original...these are hard to find, so get it quick while they last. Condition is NM, never played. I accept paypal or money order only. See details for shipping...GOOD LUCK!

***This item is not the common Slurpee version, but a much more scarce previous first run, with all references made to Icees, and not Slurpees, which makes this item even RARER than the much sought after and more common Slurpee pressing. Apparently, 7-Eleven used to sell Icee's starting 1965, then later bought the rights to Icee back in 1967 and changed the name to Slurpee. This record must have been pressed and released sometime between '65 and '67, hence the Icee references. Once they changed the name, this version was discontinued. The content and music is the same, only the words "Icee" got replaced with the word "Slurpee". DONT SLEEP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ***
<img src="https://www.putsonline.co.uk/forum/my-plugins/bb-smilies/pfunk/icon_nah.gif" title=":-/" class="bb_smilies" /> So what do yall think? Is it some thing I should hop on or should we dog this guy and call him out. Cause the story sounds a little iffy, like he is tryin' to sell the bootlegs and sayin' its the Icee version so he doesn't catch any bullshizzle from 7-Eleven like Cut and Shadow did. Plus the lable looks to clean for a 1965 -1967 recording. Also It would be pretty hard to find two copies as apposed to one.( he has two copies for sale):-/

P.S. I know this is a music talk type thing but this side of the forum seems to recieve more attention. So sorry if this screws sh!t up YoYoPo. If you need to lock it, do it to it. and sorry agian homie If its a problem.
