So the show was excellent! PUTS was the first to come on and to my surprise the crowd was not that large (damn yuppies). I had made it into Burlington the evening before the show and mingled around the city that night boozing and just letting loose, getting a feel for who would was psyched to see the show. Many people responded with positive attitudes but it seemed everyone was into the faded MGMT (they played an OK show but were burnt out).
It was interesting to watch Thes One and Double K interact with the crowd, it almost seemed like they were poking fun at the Vermonter's (not to dis anyone) but my saying for the two days was "f**king' Vermont".
So aside from my rant, they opened up with Self-Destruction and into the Second Track...then rocked out some freestyle for a bit. Pretty sure after that Montego Slay was next then into the LA Song and afterwards I believe Acid Raindrops came on (everyone started singing along...typical). This show was sadly only an hour long because of a few other bands needed to present within a four hour time period. They rocked out with an encore and what else but San Francisco Knights which I couldn't help but let loose too. Oh and earlier in the show Double scracthed the sh!t out of Srgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band which was great. As one of my two friends were walking to get some beer the other stayed behind and somehow coped Thes Ones Piecelock 70 hat which was epic (I had been rocking mine all day and was happy to see he snagged Thes' hat)!
After PUTS performed they feel back stage until the final band MGMT came on, which they gave respect for before they left the stage...this is when sh!t got interesting. So I had noticed Thes One and Double K saw me rocking the PL70 hat probably the only one beside Thes. So, I decided to crowd surf during MGMT and it was liberating and I was smoking a stoge and got a thumbs up from MGMT. While crowd surfing I noticed Thes and Double rocking out to MGMT. After the show I was hanging around the tents because UVM springfest was outside. Double K was by himself I slapped him fives and thanked him for the music. He said, "It is always good to see my fans appreciating our sh!t", or something like that. Then, Thes One came out and he saw me and came over, we slapped fives and started talking about the progression of music and I was telling him that PUTS brought the warm weather out here. Then he goes,"Yo I got a few pictures of you crowd surfing that sh!t was awesome"! He breaks out his phone and starts showing me these pictures and I am geeking out. So we talked for a bit and he mentioned the new PUTS album and how it is hard not to play any new tracks because they aren't ready yet. At the end of the conversation he asks to take a picture with us on his phone! We were stoked and he also sent me that photo...great experience and two awesome doods who make a Dynamic Duo, EPIC day!
Here is the photo of us:

Heading out to Burlington on friday night to see Gramatik, staying at a friends house. On saturday People Under the Stairs will be rocking out in Burlington for UVM springfest (MGMT and Boombox also) but that is not nearly as exciting. I am stoked, caught them on their last run through VT in december and it was a banging show. I think this will top it, outside, fair weather, and of course the fair ladies. Hopefully I'll be able to get in contact with Thes and Double K before the show. Really excited and will check back here once the weekend festivities subside. Time to Rock our Sh!t!
