   Plus I threw in a few bonus treats but your gonna love owning an original copy of The Next Step. The CD looks way doper (more low-budget) and in the traditional of the original release, the spines are being stuffed with Beedies.

   trust me, nothing feels more rewarding than finding a sample somone else used on a track youv heard in the past on your own,,, and even by accident!

    thats true. i remember finding the Jack DeJonette record that was used for Tribe's buggin out or the Ben Vereen record used for Chi Ali's first single (girls look soo good....) and i was giddy like a chick.

    so far, ive only found the sample used in the intro part for Sublimes "Summertime" ---Damn that record is some great melodic sh!t!
    and the beat used in that song by Peter Gunz and Lord Tirique's song,, "deja vu (uptown baby)" ---that beat was just an intro part from the song it was sampled from, up-tempo'ed and looped.

    sample based production is a muhfuckin sport ya dig .bac then, fools didnt even want u to know what records they were playing. gotta find it on ya own. but when u stumble on a classic break or some untapped sh!t, its almost like an orgasm, ya know? yes!!! u gotta really be a collector in a sense to know what to go after or even what to stumble on. so dont just sample, be a fan of those records so that u understand the music, and in turn the art of sampling better. i'm not a record encycopidia like Thes, but i know my sh!t just cuz i like to bump them. the 1st record my dad gave me was The Meters, from his collection, and i was like, oh sh!t ,King Tee, Ice Cube, etc!!! and i made my 1st beat with that recoed. won a talent contest my freshman year in college 5 months after i made it too...

    word to soldier man, most of my records are mainly classic rock and jazz, because just like hip hop, im a big fan of these genres as well, and its like you buy the record for what type of music it is, and find the sample afterward
    most of the time... you dig?
    
    and then theres random sh!t you buy that you find samples on too,,,
    
    just last night i was listening to Grover washington Jr, "aint no sunshine" if you all remember dmx's hit single based on this song,,,,
    
    
    keep it real 'yall..watching Woodstock on tv at the moment, i love the classic rock mang! it where the drums are at!
