I got an MPC1000 the other day and updated to the latest jjos having read so much about it, but I find that when I pitch change a sample while maintaining the tempo, the sample ends up sounding like the bitrate or sample rate have been lowered. Is this right or has something got messed up? I'm sure I used the pitch change on the akai os when I first got it and it sounded way better, but when I reinstalled the original os and tried a pitch change it still sounded like the sample rate had been lowered, making me think that somethings got f****d up.
I already tried the mpc forums, but as has been said before, they're messed up over there! Can anyone tell me if something's wrong?
