I was planning on saving the vinyl listening for when I was chillin' with my Yeti homies, but had to hurry through it to check track listings after reading some of your posts about mislabels. As they sat, all 5 LP's were side A up except disc 2 and 4. My initial thought was that my disc 2 was wrong too, but it is all good. Like a few of you guys: Sactown, Loudwon, JK... my disc 4 is mislabeled. No big deal for me, just have to keep a mental note when ever I decide to spin these beauties. In fact, doesn't a factory error make the set more "valuable" in collectors' eyes like baseball cards? I gotta say that the few tracks I did listen to through my boomin' system were SOOOOOO clean, sh!t sounds amazing. As all Thes One productions go, I can pump the volume up way louder than most comparable releases... His production/engineering skills are far superior than your better than average producer imho.

and btw, forgot to mention...

Nice catch on the photo YoYoPo!

I do remember thinking why was the disc 4 placed backwards in the set. I think the error labeling on Disc 4 makes it more valuable. You know like when baseball cards used to have errors. I remember a Gary Sheffield 1989 Upper Deck error where the "SS" for shortstop was upside down and all my friends were making mad dashes to 7-11 to buy Upper Deck packs.

Well, that may not be the same since every record has the labeling error and Thes isn't going to reproduce a corrected box set for us to buy at 7-11 with a Big Gulp lol (Shoutout to the Stepfather DVD studio session)

Haha, if you wanna peep another Sheffield-type flip on the 10YOTO set, look at Double's shirt on the booklet cover... I think they mirrored the image! :-p I'm getting way too analytical.

I noticed that the image Po posted was flipped from the booklet too! PUTS Army on the case!

Loaded the PL70 MP3 machine to the brim for my daily bike ride. Almost had my own July 3rd moment.

Sactown is correct on the new nuances that come to these songs. Most of these edits are cool. But I really got this for the breakdown and I'm glad it's the entire edit, Although the little harmonic buzz that was on OST doesn't come through at the end.

Glad ya'll are happy and enjoying your box sets!

Thes aint happy bout the re sellers though. They'll be hearing from him. The amount of time, work and effort not to mention the body of work that went into this -and after all was said and done, selling them at cost price. Damn.

Yeah, I just saw this sh*t. I'm steamed as F*CK about that.

I just posted this on instagram, but one of the two eBay sellers is a guy that I tried to get an old LA Mike Sunglasses CD from, and when it showed up, it was TORE UP... like... didn't even play... and he rated it as "very good"... then he never got back to me when I contacted him. He's a piece of sh*t. I've still got the envelope with his address if Thes needs it. Let me know.

Yo, seriously $750 bucks for the box set? Listen, it is scummy that these resellers are trying to take advantage of the limited run but they did make the initial purchase and they do own the box set now so they can do with it what they please.

I say that any true fan would know that they are being taken advantage of and would not purchase the box set at that price. I am also pretty sure that anybody looking to purchase the resell has already gotten wind of Thes' disappointment.

The $750-priced one is not for sale anymore, and a search for sold items doesn't turn it up, so I'm guessing it was taken down. I hope.

anyone thinking thes won't make his boxsets so cheap in the future? After seeing these ebay prices and knowing how fast it sold out initially, i wouldn't be surprised if the second decade boxset is at least $250

Personally, I wouldn't begrudge Thes making a crazy big set and putting a big price tag on it, 'cause I think the cat is owed some serious coinage after all the sh*t he's faced. BUT he made it pretty clear that this was a "Thank You" set for the fans that he was content to "take a loss" on. Good guy, that Thester.

I checked mine when I got home and my 4th LP has the songs/labels backwards too....I totally didn't notice the first listen, I was drinking at the time......didn't he press them once, and then wasn't happy with them, and repressed them in the last year or so?
