I've now read a lot of comments on here that are something like: "I don't know about this '1 Up 'Til the Sun Up' stuff, man. Has kind of a pop vibe, weird video." You get the idea. I don't want to make this an angry rant or a shot at anyone; I'm just trying to make my point like everyone else posting here. But I like "1 Up 'Til the Sun Up" a lot. I I think its different that what they've done on some past albums, but that's kind of the point. Like on "Highlighter:"
"Left foot, right foot, you keep moving
You gotta go forward, you gotta go forward."
Basically what I'm trying to say is that I think the sh!t is moving forward, and there's probably a lot I haven't picked up on in the song. One of the reasons I love PUTS is that they really love music. They care about their work and wouldn't put out anything they think is bad product. I think it's possible they're up on some sh!t that we might not necessarily be up on yet (I know they have a lot more talent and insight into music than I do) and so I'm just going to approach it from a standpoint of trying not to be critical, but to understand whatever it is they're communicating. Maybe this is a little preachy (I'm sure someone will disagree with me) but seeing the comments describing "1 Up 'Til the Sun Up" inspired me to jot down some thoughts on single.
