I know. The buzz for Highlighter was night-and-day compared to right now. Sorta sad to see the lack of activity... Of course, I've noticed a lot of activity decrease across my social media lately too, so maybe a lot of people are just crazy busy right now, but I would've loved to have seen more promo materials this time around... I've been trying to post up as much as I can on here... of course, I can only do so much (and I hope I'm not putting myself on blast too much; I mean to focus on the P!!).
I'm hoping the major forum wave comes on the release date when everyone actually gets the albums.

Haha, oh man, I wish!! That would be great to just hear a major mix like that.
Unfortunately, though, I was looking at that list in the video, and (in conjunction with the tracklist now posted to UGHH.com) I think Thes just scribbled the "D" below the Side D tracks quickly instead of in the right margin, where he put the A, B, C... I think it's three tracks a side for a total of 12 (for the "12" Step Program). So side D will just be Yes I Can, Umbrellas (God Forgive Me), and Doctor Feelgood.
We can always hope for a limited edition 12" "1 Up Til Sun Up" single with a bouillabaisse on the flip. Yo, Thes, you listenin'!?!

Aye, it's quiet alright...but then we've got nothing coming from PL70 this time to gee us up. All seems to be on Instagram...forums is old skool!
I suspect Thes is as busy as ever trying to do everything, so we can't expect updates all the time. He'll come good and produce the goods...he always does.
hhv.de is claiming its limited to 2000 again but other than that I've got nothing.
I'll be looking for this pre-order tomorrow though...

Pre-orders are already available on amazon with release day shipping. Think I may go with that instead of PL70 if that is the case.

Finally caught up on the buzz for the 12 Step Program, I have been sweating bullets waiting for the funk. Haven't been able to follow the PUTS forum or the recent news. Caught up in the process of moving my sh!t from Vermont to Salzburg, Austria to attend a grad program. Finally got on a couple of days ago and not to my surprise the hype that I saw when Highlighter was coming out presented itself for a new album. I am psyched for the new album and the single is excellent (not to mention the video). Spoke with a hip hop group based out of Vermont who performed with PUTS back in November of 2012. Word is they are coming back (and hopefully before I leave in September). If not maybe the P can come out to Austria to bring the FUNK.
Once again, very excited for the release of 12 Step Program. I always enjoy getting hyped on new music since it is such a rare experience these days!

Did my funkic duty and bought the pre-order on iTunes (kinda bummed I couldn't order the LP yet though). Hopefully this means The P will finally be able to get some shows booked in the Bay Area.

I have a huge problem with throwing money at that garbage... The fact that Thes is "forced" to use it to validate bookings is just as ridiculous as signing with a major label to prove your artistry imho. I hate having to take this stance but... I guess it's vinyl only for this dude...

That's what I'm thinking, (but I would buy the CD from amazon) Pissed me off having to read that.
What is it coming to?
To me, it kinda looks like apple runs the music industry with i-tunes. What is this bs, don't promoters, radio's, the media, hell anyone think for themselves? They want everything spoon fed to them via their iphones.
But what else can PUTS do?

I like the itunes idea as well. But the P hasn't been to the Detroit area since the Fun DMC tour and I do not foresee them coming thru anytime soon. If my preorder w/ itunes ensured a local show I would be down. I already plan on spending at least $35 between the vinyl and CD...
