I wanted to post this here first before everyone else finds out; I figured the people who read this here are the downest fans so they deserve to hear this first before it runs through the rumor mill.
Stepfather is over.
After a few months of dedicated work on it, Mike and I mutually decided that it wasn't working out and that we didn't really like the direction things were going. Basically it comes down to I wanted to make an album filled with Jazz loops and Mike wanted to use only P-Funk samples and though we tried, we just couldn't get them to sound right on top of eachother. So for now, just to make our lifes easier, we're just going to call it.
I'll keep you guys updated on our next step from here.
