I know if you all real true P fans you'd find that connection where you got sh!t in common with the sh!t they doin. What threw me in even more, was their outlook on the whole "underground" scene as a whole. sh!t's weak. I dont know if you all heard the new blackmoon album, but buckshot speaks on those same lines. So does Main Flow on the Hi Tek record. sh!t i was gonna write some more, but i deleted it cuz i didnt know where i was goin. anyways f*** the clowns in this biz and scene -

this whole negative attitude is ridiculous man. how many "dickriders" are you gotta find on a little ass fan forum. seems like u got sh!t to prove. I dont generalize any scene. backpackers? comeon man, that term is worthless, overused and you know it. Shoot, hiero initiated the whole "backpackin" thing. are they wack because of that? The last show del played in toronto, he never took his backpack off. the artifacts rocked knapsacks to keep their paint in. and theyve made the hardest hiphop ever heard. snoop used to rock knapsacks sellin his cd's out of it man... the term became negative when insecure dudes started using it to show ppl they aint soft. thats fradulent sh!t to me...

melle mel i know exactly how ya feel man, NOW EVERYBODY LISTEN TO ME BECAUSE IMMA GO THROUGH DIFFERENT POINTS SO LISTEN TO ALL EVEN IF YOUR OFFENDED>>>>>>>> I know what ya mean man, i remmeber growing up with black and brown faces at shows and at b-boy battles, but now it seems that white people and other races are getting into hip hop. Just like with reggae right now, garage bands are playing dub but dont know the roots. I am curious to see why hip hop shows are all lite up with white faces though. I understand your frustration, because people who didnt grow up on hip hop dont know how bad we will love it.
Hip Hop is not just a music, or a lifestyle, its our never ending commitment and marriage to it. No matter what we went through as kids, seeing the bloodshed, the guns, drugs, and violence towards us from cops and whites espicially, it makes us come home to a tape and listen to it because thats all we have. I dont listen to hip hop because i want too. I listen to it because it i have too, its all i know, its as needed to me as the air i breath.
Have ya`ll ever seen the movie Brown Suger??? If you never heard of it you should, and if you say its wack, you DO NOT OR EVER WILL know how hip hop feels. Because hip hop to me is exactly the relationship i have with a woman, i love and turn to her for help and comfort and I DO NOT WANNA SEE ANYBODY LOOKING, TALKIN, STARING, OR SHARING HER....I get tired of people labeling people like me a racist or my boy melle mel because we are defensive about hip hop and who it comes in contact with.
I see it, if a white person listens to hip hop its like an interracial relationship because you know that aint right if you see a white person with a black person, its a totally different culture and upbringing, but you have to accept it and even though you dont wanna share you have to accept it.
If i didnt touch your point melle mel, i have misunderstood your post because your mind was everwhere when you posted that just like me right now.
If you didnt turn to hip hop or see it on the block in the park, you have no understanding of how i feel and i have no way to justify what i have said in your point of view....Much love and piece to people. -

I love hiphop without a doubt, the music; it makes me feel...consummate no doubt, and that if I could only do ONE thing in life, it would be to listen to this stuff. Of course it is a culture developed within the black and other minorities culture, I will never forget that. And yes I've seen Brown Sugar, great movie, god I loved how the played "I used to love h.e.r." but within it is a message of cultural embrace. Black, white, latino, whatever nothing can be done within itself. There isn't a single culture that isn't affected by another, save maybe a few within the deep parts of south america and africa and other secluded parts of the world. This subject can totally turn into something else, which is uneeded and will only exhaust our minds...but basically my point of this post is: does it bother you that much to see white people get involved with hiphop? If so, what do you say to someone like me who understands the basis and foundation, respects it, and only wants to share it with other people just so they can see the beauty and as well respect the culture as a whole? I speak for a lot of people I'm sure, some say it's not a race issue, which to me it isn't but...it's always brought up somehow it's unavoidable...tireless...

my views are not to hurt, but i cannot hide it neither can anyone else. Being white and understanding the basis is something, sometimes is effecient but not enough, depends about your commiment, but what i find most in my eyes is that most use it as a fad now i might be generlizing but thats what i have seen except for you and the others that you speak for. They use hip hop to label themselves and move up in the social ladder. Now race does play an issue in hip hop, hip hop music is racial. If it wasnt then it would lack alot of appeal. I mean blacks and browns make fun of themselves if they tend to act "white".
but what the said truth is....is that black and brown people who have identified themselves with this culture cannot stand to see white people play a part. Its nothin that can be explained. Its just impossible for white people to see or feel what we feel. We have a different lifestyle. We see things different. WE ARE BORN SUFFERERS. We wonder the streets together and white people assume we are not productive and we are up to no good.
I am rambling. But its just going to be impossible for white people to know why we say such things or see such things. I mean skin color plays a role in society. If we are darker than you than we have to work harder than you. Its a fact. And this hip hop music and jazz and reggae has risen out of poverty, racism, dicrimination, slavery, genocide...etc...
its just really hard to sum up what we have gone through and continue to go through. I dont really seem to care if people think we are racist or anything, but we are not, i accociate with people of all color. But its 2nd nature for me to see someone practicing my culture that i see in a police uniform, school, senate, goverment, etc....to not hate, but discriminate and see what is so precise about my culture that would make them part theirs and practice mine???
i mean we could talk about this all day, but if we bury this issue, it would only hinder our next generation because it will erupt in their time.
