congratulations to his incredible record!

the quality of the record and the cover are very nice and i feel happy to hold it in my hands.
first of all props to the guys from the p.

when it comes to this little problem on "all good things" i found a solution that solved the skipping issue for me.
on my beloved 1210 i switched anti-skatingto 3 and put the counterweight completly in the direction of the tonearm.
listening to the track with this setting no real skipping occurs, the sound just slightly distorts at the spots where the blemish is located.

i have a picture attached, hope this helps you guys.

I copped the 2LP from Om. No skips. Equipment - Technics 1200 w/ Shure M447 cartridge.

Will the vinyl sent to Amazon (coz its later than HHV and OM) still have this problem?

When records skip I play the record backwards and it usually opens up any bit of the groove that is fecked.
But dont do this on my advice... it could potentially mess ur vinyl up.

Do you mean put the counterweight on backwards?
I have my counterweights on backwards on my 1200s for better tracking etc. I think I currently have anti skate 6.
But still they are nowhere as good as the tracking you get from Vestax's.

The more I think about it the more I want to get my Vestax's PDX 2000s hooked up again I dont think they EVER skipped.

But also I need some new needles.

Anyway should I wait out for my order from Amazon or cancel it and re-order when/if the skipping problem has been rectified?

ALSO while I remember...
Has anyone had any problems with the CD skippping?

My sometimes does, usually in my car stereo. It seems that a tiny spec of dirt can cause it, is this down to the cd being mixed 5:1 and coz there is so much info on the disc its harder for it to read?! coz it plays well in my sony cd recorder which (obviously?) has better lazers etc in it than my stardard car stereo?!

and finally...

I got 1210M5s, Tonearm height set to 4, counter-weight at heaviest setting, anti-skate at 3, and Shure M447 needles... and I had problems with skipping (as I posted before, I just wanted to clarify my equipment situation/try to force the needle to stay put). I appreciate the hell out of Thes gettin on here and lettin us know the situation.

update...

after playing the track several times with the counterweight completly on the tonearm, the record now doesn't even skip with a "normal" setting.
seems like the pressure made the needle find its way through the grooves of this epic track

so my vinyl is fine now, seems to be only a minor problem.
but i am pretty sure the record skipped three times when i first listend to it.

it's all good now and all good things is probably my favourite track along with carried away.

Where yall ranking this album? I've heard a lot of people say they liked Stepfather and Fun DMC more but I gotta disagree. I think you had 1 or 2 weak songs on those albums and I really can't find one on this album maybe outside of teeth. The musical backdrop on songs like Check the Vibe and Carried Away to me are amazing, and back-to-back songs about beer and weed? Yeah I can dig it!!

In my opinion this album is only second to Questions in the Form of an Answer.

Also Chicken Kabob might be the best skit P.U.T.S. has ever done. Major props.

I really wish All Good Things was on the CD. I just listened to that track today and it's sooooo good.

I was just listening to some radiohead and realized they sampled Reckoner in that track. Nice!
