Posts: 594Posted 16 years ago #ya i did take it a bit harshly, and i was hesitant at the show when they said they were teaming up with Vans, but i quickly realized it was just for a remix contest. its not like they're teaming up with Vans in general, wearing Vans shoes and telling people to buy Vans apparel then getting a check from the company. but i definitely understand why this dude and others might not approve -

People annoy me with that mentality of thinking that just because they listen to underground they gotta be anti-capitalist in every step of their lives. Step off! -

Posts: 1,137Posted 16 years ago #I don't see the problem here. Plus, this is a hip hop thing, to rep some dope footwear...Adidas? Nikes? Jordans? What's the problem here. They aren't even WEARING them, just collaborating with them to get people talking, it's a win win. -

I guess I should respect negative viewpoints when they come along, but give PUTS a break. They've been goin' eleven years now without any big sponsorships or media blitzes, and I don't think that pairing with Vans for a remix contest is selling out. Under the Lightworks Collective remix. About three or four songs down. Big respect for the PUTS fans and, being one big one myself, would really appreciate any feedback! Peace.
