I got in! Thanks to Thes for helping me out. I've been to all the shows they've had in Chicago but this is the first time I got to chill and talk with them. Even though we hold them in such a high regard, they're regular dudes who will talk to us fans, have a beer, smoke a blunt and basically recognize our appreciation for them.

Got to chill with Dusty Diggin' (thanks for the pin!), Sweetness and Kyle. Good to see there are P fans from all walks of life. Sweetness's skate deck is dope! All I kept thinking about the PUTS pin was the Chris Rock skit "They spinning nigga, they spinning" lol.

Before the show we had the first (annual?) PUTS Army Chicago division meeting. Thes just thanked us for being such true fans and talked about the plans for the online store. Basically any idea we have for some cool merch or music, shoot it to him and they'll try and make it work.

The first two performers were Earatik Statik (from Chicago) and Rapper Big Pooh (of Little Brother). Both had short sets thankfully. Its not a diss to their performances, but we came to see The P and had stood around long enough.

The P's set was amazing! I won't run through a setlist so I don't "ruin" it for future stops on the tour. They ran through the classic staples and some of the new stuff. All I will say is that Chicago definitely showed out for the People Under The Stairs and the love Thes and Double K have for Chicago is beyond mutual. Not on some cheesy fan type superstardom tip, but there is a bond there that is touching and moving. You could tell they were feeding off the energy.

Yo! I had looked down to make sure I could regain my footing from jumping around and next thing I know Thes was on my head! He stage dove right into us! Unbelievable!

I swear, I heard more female voices singing the "Acid Raindrops" chorus from where I was. Crowd went nuts on "Time To Rock Our sh!t" everyone was rapping along."...Shoot the gift like NRA members on Christmas morning..." The ladies on stage for Hang Loose.

Kyle holding up PBR cans throughout the show. Sweetness bugging out almost every song. OH SNAP! Almost forgot, Dusty Diggin' was ON MOTHERUCKING STAGE WITH THEM THE WHOLE SET!!! Lucky bastard! Thes getting a fan made PUTS shirt tossed at him from the balcony. He may have shed a tear.

To sum it up, the P NEVER disappoint. Show them love and they give it back tenfold. Can't wait until they roll back into Chicago and we can all hang out again.

But that sounds like it was supreme dopeness. I'm glad you cats got a chance to meet up and talk a bit and give/get input/output from Thes and all.

When I was at the Som Bar in SF for the dj set, I felt the same thing about the homies just being chill and normal with the fans. Love that aspect. Wouldn't have it any other way.

I haven't got the most muscle, but I lift heavy sh*t all the time, so maybe I should take a weekend and drive down to L.A. and help Thes with his PUTS Records project (if there is any building involved) in exchange for getting my deck signed. I'll buy the beers.
