Do gingers get made fun of a lot in the UK? We Americans give em a lil crap (all in good fun though, I personally think the right kind of ginger-ette is tres foxy, but I digress), but is it more heated across the pond? Is it cuz of your Irish cousins? -

Yeah due to umm... people like Chris Evans it is our duty to diss em all.
I'm not sure the Irish are all that ginger I thought the Scots were more ginger due to the bad weather rusting their hair.

I've got a ginger irish mate who says people wind down their window and shout "GINGER" as they're driving past. I dunno, chris evans did do a lot of damage to the ginger culture. They've been persecuted in the past too, my mate was telling me there was a ginger genocide (don't laugh) in germany in the 17th century or something... -

Yes this is true, Hans Brunnette from Berlin was at the fore front of this Gingercide. He was the man who invented the gingerbread man.
People were encouraged to eat gingerbread men to show their dislike for the ginger haired people, who were thought to be the offspring of Lucifer.

One of my mates tried to force his dog to look up and got bitten (this is before the days when if a dog bit a human who was being a d!ck head it automatically gets put down. I sound like a daily mail reader)... we never did find that out.
Also Loudwon, you might know this, check your book of facts, is it true that if you walk over three drain-cover-manhole things in a row, it's bad luck? -

Posts: 1,415Posted 16 years ago #The theory goes walking over two drain/ manhole covers is lucky, whereas three is bad luck. Bad luck can be ousted by walking over a solitary one.
Personally I dont like to walk over drain covers etc, just for fear they might give way.
Also I worry that I'm going to drop my keys down a storm drain (one of those grated ones) then what do you do?!
Did anyone hear that some guy in Southampton dropped his keys down a drain and he was a little drunk and tried to get em but fell in head first and drowned
