can u hook me up with that guy from Om records email address...maybe he could help me out...if i tell him what had happened...worth a try to see if i can still get that skateboard deck

Garwin Lu ? garwin [at] om-records.com

I got this email from the om "contact us" page, btw. It says there that he's the head of apparel or something.

I still have a really negative view of Om after all this, but this does help. I paid a lot for that set.

Hey, Thes, hope the dude didn't bug you with that phone call asking for another signature. I told him he didn't have to do that, but he seemed pretty determined. If you did that for me, then that's ANOTHER f*cking beer I owe you. Dude, by now, I owe you a new MPC or some sh*t.

yeah ...if u have to deal with some bullshizzle...well f that
...id rather get some dope ass sh!t in may

so om called me today....said they had problems running cards online...and i gave them my card over the phone. They said something about shipping a separate poster later...so we'll c what it includes....

sorry thes,
if om is makin u do some more sh!t for this...dont kill me...ill buy tequila shots in chi and cle next weeek

PUMPED as hell for the shows!!

peace

SactownConnection said: But... the weak b.s. about how it arrived aside, the set has:
1) A signed Carried Away CD (Thes & KK)
2) The double Carried Away LP (even though mine is tore up and I'll probably be getting an exchange)
3) The PUTS Skateboard Deck HELL YEAH.
4) The Limited Edition 7" single for Beer (Colt45 Mix)
5) A 7" single for "Alive" by J Boogie's Dubtronic Science feat. Crown City Rockers
6) Om Stickers (for Zion I & The Grouch, J Boogie, Ampline Electrowonderland Vol. 2, Zeph & Azeem, and Om Hip Hop) & a Bassnectar poster (poster not pictured... it was a little crumpled)
7) The Om Hip Hop Volume 2 CD (it has songs from Rashaan Ahmad, Black Spade, Zion I & The Grouch, etc.)

got this today...damn...dont have time to say anything but...wow...glad i somehow got this...after all the bs...worth it tho...the beer 45 is something ill cherish forever...lol

not to mention the deck...in perfect timing for the show...maybe ill somehow get that signed...maybe ill tip the bartender at subT to stash it somewhere lol

yea i dunno bout takin it...lol

SactownConnection said: Got the phone call. That Garwin guy was actually really chill, and we handled business with the quickness.

He told me that, as a double apology (for receiving the shipment in poor condition and having to wait so long for a response from the customer service dept), he'd send me the missing signed poster, a new LP, a PUTS care package (other Om PUTS stuff, basically), and I think he mentioned another signed PUTS CD too. He also said he'd try to call Thes today for a personalized signature, rather than just one of the ones they already had.

D*mn. Glad that they came through, even if it took a while. Shouldn't have had to deal with all this, but...

Sactown, did you get all this stuff yet?? I emailed Garwin a few weeks ago and didn't get a response, and ive been hella busy with school so haven't gotten around to emailing again or calling. I'm gonna call tomorrow morning and bitch at them...it ain't right to pay that much and then not get all the promised items!

What contact number did you call?? please lemme know, thanks man

I never actually got a number... He called me... But let me go through those emails again once I'm at my desk at work (instead of on my celly on the bus, haha), I THINK he might've left it somewhere...

bad times with the poster n vinyl, but cud be worse... u gonna chase em 4 the poster or jus leave it? all the sh!t u bn thru i dno if i cud b arsed doin it again

Yeah, Garwin wanted a response when I got it all, so I came straight up honest with him, and I said (and I quote):

"Hey Garwin,

The four records are all in EXCELLENT condition (no bent corners, shrink-wrapped, etc.), and I'm very happy about that. Already played two of them.

There was NOT a signed poster in the box, however... I triple-checked.

At this point, though, I'm cool with whatever happens. If you guys don't have one, that's that. If you still have one, it would be nice to receive it, but... I mean, the transaction's closed as far as I'm concerned. My mood right now is more mostly satisfied with a hint of "oh, that sucks", rather than full-blown upset. Just let me know.

But as I said, the rest of everything is exactly as I expected, so many many thanks for helping me with that.

Pat
"

I know you think I'm probably letting 'em "get off easy" by being so nice, but like I said: Garwin, as an individual, handled me with respect, so I'll give him the same, and there's absolutely no reason to kick someone on the way out the door, so I should just end it smoothly, and if they want to take that extra step, then I'm cool...
